-Chapter nine-
It's been three days since Jc brought me to the house for the first time. I had gotten into a daily routine. I got up at seven, put on jeans, a t-shirt, and some converse and headed down stairs to find out who was doing what for the day. It was Monday and so I wasn't the one making breakfast, but no one was downstairs. I checked the clock it was 7:30 all of us are up by seven. I ran upstairs and opened Arial's door there was no one. No Catherine. No Caroline. No Kaylee. No Samantha. No Crystal. No Tessa. No Carmon. No Sara. No Melissa. I had looked in every servant room. Then something snapped. "The boys," I thought and ran to the east wing. I yelled their names as I ran. I opened Connor's door, but there was no one. No one in Kian's room. No one in Ricky's room. Jc! I slammed his door open and ran inside. "Jc!!" I was worried and started to spin even when I was standing still. I was scared that something had happened to them. All of them. There was a creak at the door and I spun and saw the military man from the trial and he had a bloody knife in his hand. But when he walked into the light and I saw the face of the of the man who's beatings had made me strong. He came towards me and put the knife to my throat and whispered the same thing he said every time, then I felt pressure on my neck.
I woke up in a panic. I couldn't breathe. It was almost five thirty. I rushed to the bathroom and put cold water on my face. I just let the water run. I was breathing heavy and just let the water drip down my face. I felt the need to talk to someone. To tell them about the dream, but that means I must talk about my past.
I stumbled out of the bathroom and to the railing to go downstairs. I stood there trying to get the strength to go down the stairs. I couldn't get my legs to stop shaking so I sat down on the top stair and just stared into the darkness. I thought about the dream, but more of what happened in the past. I finally got up and went downstairs to the kitchen to make some tea.
I tried to not make any noise and only lit a candle so I wouldn't have to turn on a light. I got the kettle out and put some water in it putting it straight on the stove. I got out a cup and headed to the pantry and got a tea bag. I waited to be able to turn off the water before the whistle became too loud.
I started to pour the hot water into my cup and it started to sooth my nerves. I put the kettle back on the stove to cool down. I went to the refrigerator for milk and as I closed the door I saw someone standing in the doorway. I jumped back putting the milk on the counter and slowly walking backwards thinking I could get away, but the truth was there is only one way out of the kitchen and it was blocked. The figure walked into the kitchen and I went into a ball shaking holding my knees to my chest and closing my eyes. I felt his hands on my shoulders. I didn't open my eyes.
"Aria?"
