Falling is a big word.

What falls though?

Leaves fall.

But it all starts with wind.

Wind will gently flutter the tree's leaves, only enough power too make your hair's stick up so slightly.

You might not even have your jacket that you brought along with you to where-ever you may have been going. It till might be sitting on the bench momentarily forgotten.

Then it picks up, You know it's blowing now with a little force. The kind that moves crunched and broken leaves, already fallen, and younger kids laugh at how they try to 'run' away.

You might be thinking about your sweater right about now if you get cold sooner then most people.

If you look up you see that the leaves are moving.

Something makes someone's heart skip a beat, one leaf is about to fall.

In it's own tearor, the leaf will realise it's about to fall.

Falling. It thinks. What's it like to fall?

Without noticing how loose and shaky the leaf's been, it falls.

Down. Slowly.

Fluttering heartbeats in your chest as you see it for the first time as a child.

"Mommy! We need to get the leaf up to the tree!"

She would laugh and say; "It's supposed to happen Marc-Jacob. Don't worry" And she would smile and look down and laugh some more at your confused face.

"Why am I named after the guy on the big board?"

"Because it's a beautiful name"

Thats what I thought Falling was, untill I met her.
