His name is Chandler, he gave me his number, he's in my grade, and he's super attractive, as you could probably tell." I speak so fast I'm surprised she can understand me. "He's a cute boy. He needs a haircut." Aunt Jen says laughing. "No Aunt Jen! I love his hair, and his eyes, and his smile, and his voice, a-" "Oh you've got it bad. You should start calling me AJ or something. Make me feel younger." "What do you mean I've got it bad? Omg should I text him?" I say with a higher pitched voice than usual. "Ummm... Duh!" AJ says laughing. We get to the gas station and AJ gets out to pump gas. I take this moment to call Katelyn. The phone rings twice and she answers. "Fayth!! Oh my god hey!!!!" "Katelyn. I have great news!" I squeal. "What? What is it!?" She screams. "I met a guy an-" "Oh my god!!! Tell me more!!!!" She screeches. "Well I was about to until you interrupted me." I laugh. "Oh yeah. Sorry. Continue." "His name is Chandler and he is really nice. He gave me his phone number!" "Text him right now! I know you haven't because you're too chicken shit to do it!" "Shut the fuck up!" I joke. Am I going to do it? Hell yeah I am!
Me: Hey. It's Fayth!
"I did it! How's that for chicken shit!?" I yell right as AJ gets in the car. The look she gave me was priceless.
"Katelyn! You're on speaker. Say hi to Aunt Jen." "Hi Aunt Jen!" Katelyn says with excitement. "Hey!" AJ returns. "Hey Katelyn, I'll have to let you go. I love you!" "I love you too!" Katelyn says before we hang up. *ding* it's Chandler.
Chandler: Hey Fayth!
Me: What's up?
"Are you texting that boy?" AJ asks. "Yes ma'am I am." I reply. *ding*
Chandler: Nothing really. School starts in a week. Are you ready for that?
Me: No...
*ding*
Chandler: It'll be fine. I'll help you out.
Me: Thank you! I thought I would have no one!
*ding*
Chandler: You're welcome!;-)
"Hey! We're home!" AJ says snapping her fingers in my face. Already? "I guess we'll just have left overs for dinner" AJ says while trying to unlock the door. "Okay." I say amused by the sight of her struggling. I eventually help her.
*ding*
Chandler: Maybe sometime before school starts we can hang out?
Me: That sounds fun. I'll see if you can come over tomorrow. We could watch movies or we could watch Supernatural!
*ding* He answers instantly.
Chandler: Sounds great! I'll be over around two.
Me: Okay.
"AJ!!! Can Chandler come hang out tomorrow?" I ask as we raid the kitchen. "Sure." She says heating up left over chipotle.
Me: You can come.
*ding*
Chandler: Okay. Until tomorrow?
Me: Until tomorrow.
