Bella's POV
"I'm not going," I said to Ashleigh.
"Bella, yes you are. I know you have no interest in seeing Mitch, but you should atleast take a chance. It's not like he'll see you in the crowd." She explained.
"I swear if he does I'll slit my wrists more than I did when he left me alone in Highschool." I said, finally giving in. Another thing I'll regret doing.
"Don't say that!" Ashleigh yelled, "It's not like the tickets are VIP." She said, her voice trailing off at the end.
"Ashleigh, they aren't VIP, are they?" I asked flatly. She stayed silent.
"Ash...." I repeated, "Answer me."
"Yeah, they're VIP." She said, "But please give Mitch a chance! I mean, he might not recognize you," She said, trying to calm me down. She did have a point. Even though I've only known her for a couple of months, she knows what I looked like in highschool. She's seen the pictures all over my house.
"Maybe," I said. "I'll go, but I won't say anything to Mitch unless it's a life or death situation."
"Thank you!" Ashleigh said loudly.
I grunted and walked up to my room. She can't just expect me to be happy that she got VIP tickets. I never wanted to see Mitch ever again. The things he did to me were uncalled for, and after he bullied me, he just left. He was my bestfriend, and then he became my worst enemy, and then a ghost of my past.
*time skip to the concert*
"Calm down, Bella." Ashleigh said, her voice soft.
"I..I can't. I can't go in there, Ashleigh." I said, my breath fast.
"Yes you can, I doubt he'll remember you!"
"I'm terrified."
"It'll be okay. I'm not gonna leave your side." My breath hitched when she said that.
*flashback*
"Bella, it's okay, calm down." Mitch said as he pulled me in for a hug.
"Mitch, I can't do this any more. I'm to broken.." I sobbed.
"Yes you can. It'll be okay, and I'm not gonna leave your side." He said as he held me.
*end of flashback*"Bella, are you okay?" Ashleigh asked me.
"Yeah," I gulped, "I'm fine."
She then took my hand and led me to where the VIP's would watch sound check. I wouldn't deny that every single one of their voices was beautiful. Even Mitch's.
We took our seats as we waited for them to start. We could here things moving around back stage, and an occasional burst of laughter, or a boom of Avi's voice which didn't need a microphone to be heard. After about 5 minutes of waiting, the band came out and started rehearsing. I saw Mitch and immediately wanted to burst into tears and run away. I didn't do that because the last thing I needed was attention and sympathy from anyone in here.
"Bella, you okay?" Ashleigh asked me.
"Surprisingly, I feel better than I thought I would." I said honestly. I didn't think I would make it into the stadium with out having a complete panic attack.
"Oh, shit!" Scott yelled into the microphone. I looked up and saw Kevin on the ground, looking like he had tripped over something. Mitch was on his knees laughing, actually, no, he was crying. Kirstie stood still with a shocked expression on her face, and Avi just sat there, scrolling through his phone like nothing happened.
"Friend goals, Avi." Ashleigh shouted out which caused him to look up, finally realizing that Kevin was on the ground, laying on his back, now laughing.
"True," Mitch said into his microphone after he pulled himself together. He looked over at Ashleigh and me, and his eyes widened.
"Bella?"
