Love is patient and love is kind
But they also said that love is blind.
Then somebody else had said that it is not,
I tried to think of it as what?
Love is not blind but lovers are,
They are willing to do everything but how far?
And here goes a story of somebody I know
With all of her questions answerable by yes or no.
She's been with her love for as long as she can remember
But she is sure she met him before the come of September
She fell in love first and gave everything she have in a short period of time
Without realizing that to herself it was starting to be a crime.
She was beaten couple of times but still stayed
When she was asked why, she said her love will never fade.
Then it got to a point where she gave up her dreams
And started to cry her tears like those of the streams.
One day she came over to me and asked things that only she can answer
I only told her that I knew her as the formidable fighter.
She gave a weak smile and she started crying
Telling me that all the while he has been lying.
Years have passed and for a while I have not seen her,
And those times have passed by like a blur.
She came again to me and hugged me tight,
A true smile beaming telling me it was worth the fight.
I patted her back and gave her the warmest smile I can offer,
Then words came out from my lips, the only ones I can utter.
You see love is never blind, but lovers are.
They are willing to do things no matter how far.
But there are some things to remember always,
Never forget to put yourself on the righteous place.
Know when to give up and be strong for yourself,
Because you never do magic just like an elf.
Always put yourself first dear girl, you don't deserve the hate.
If he really loves you, he will say, "You are worth the wait."
Don't rush things for you are young; enjoy your life.
Because when you do, it will cut you like a knife.
