Tell me, tell me what's wrong child
What's wrong dear friend
You know you can count on me
I'm here through the very end
Tell me, tell me why child
Why are you falling down
You know you can lean on me
I'm offering to help you up off the ground
Tell me, tell me where child
Where are you going from here
You know you can tell me
I'm trying to lead you towards me, dear
Tell me, tell me who child
Who can you turn to that will protect you
You know you can count on me
I'm right here for you to trust, it's true
Tell me, tell me now child
"Who" you ask "are you to us"
You know the truth
I'm here, you know I am Jesus

Author's Note: I wrote this because I wanted to write from a different perspective, and I chose the lord's perspective. I felt upset and poetry helps me get my feelings out. This poem goes out to @owainglyn, who was always there brightening my day with his comments and his poetry. I'm trying not to cry right now, but its not working. He is such an inspiration to just be around and he is like a grandfather to me(no offense :') @owainglyn, you aren't that old) because my grandfathers both passed away, one died before I was born, the other I was really close to.
@owainglyn, you mean a lot to me because you have been a candle in the darkness and brightened my bad days with your comments. You will be ok, I promise you that, just allow God to carry you through this, don't try to fight this battle all on your own. So this poem goes out to you as well as this story I read when I was younger that absolutely touched my heart and soul. You might recognize it. Thank you, and God bless you all. :')
Footprints in the sand
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along
the beach with the Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed
two sets of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the
very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life there is
only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most
you would leave me."
The Lord replied "My precious, precious child,
I love you and would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints in the sand,
it was then that I carried you."
