{TIM’S POV}I was glad that Liz felt welcome, and grateful David decided to be a big brother to him. Even if he was teaching him in the way of the devil, I was sure Sarah would turn him toward the Lord. I could here everyone going into the dining room, so I could assume that Liz and David’s homemade pizza was ready.
David got most of his traits from his mother, his cooking abilities, rebelliousness, and most of his looks, and Sarah tended to take after him, forever fateful to their one and only God, a hard worker, and determine in everything they do. I wonder how Liz would do in the household? Maybe he would be a good son, even if he ended up acting like David, he would not be too bad. I love my children no matter what.
The children were all sitting around the table, David and Liz were gloating about their tasty smelling pizza, while Sarah was in the middle of texting the one boy both her mother and I approved of, she was probably going to go out with him tonight.
She got up from the table and smiled at me, “daddy!” she gave me a hug and walked to the front door, “I’ll see you later!”
I nodded, “be home by ten tonight!”
She looked a bit disappointed, but nodded, “alright dad.”
She disappeared with the flash of headlights, and through the window, I watched as my little girl drove away. With a sigh, I sat down at the head of the table, waiting for David to get done cutting the pizza. He passed me a piece first, then his mother, then Liz and his self are served.
“Liz,” I said, “we pray at every meal, would you mind joining hands?” I asked him with a smile.
He smiled at me, “yes sir! I-I mean no sir! Oh… Uh..”
David quickly whispered something in his hear, Liz nodded and grabbed his, and Martha’s hand, she and David grabbed mine, “let us pray, ‘Dear Lord, we gather at our table tonight, without Sarah, we pray that she would be safe tonight, and come home unharmed, Lord, we also thank you for all that you gift us with, especially with the newest member of our family, Alizter, otherwise known as Liz, we hope you make him feel welcome in our home, in your name we pray, Amen.’”
“Amen.” Everyone repeats, then, we dig in.
{Sarah’s POV}
John let me out of his car- a white Hummer- and smiled, “what time do you need to be home?”
“Ten.”
“alright, I’ll be picking you up at nine thirty, have fun!”
I smiled, “thank you so much, you’re the best.”
He nodded, “just be careful, if her mother finds out, she’ll tell the whole church.”
I waved him off and went to meet Missy. He drove off and honked at us. Missy, a girl with brown hair stepped out from the bushes, and hooked my arm as we made our way into the museum, I snuck her a kiss whispered, “I love you Missy.” (A/N Whatcha think bout that?)
{Liz’s POV}
I stand up after dinner and pick up my plate, “thank you guy’s for eating dinner with me!”
Martha smiles, “it’s nothing dear! We eat together every night. We may be a little too troubled to speak in the day, but dinner time is family time!”
I grin, “really!? At the orphanage we all had to eat by ourselves so it was kind of lonely.”
Martha nods, “I am sorry Liz, I don’t mean for you to remember bad memories.”
“It’s okay Mom!” I turn to see David walking out of the dining room, and wave at her, “I’ll see you later, I wanna hang our with David a little more before bed time!”
I run after David, who ‘kidnaps me’ and takes me to his room where we play video games until he says it’s time for me to go to bed. He takes me to a room a bit down the hall where my room is. I am so happy to have my room, my OWN room. It is even bigger than the room I shared with the other kids.
It had a twin-sized bed, and it’s own TV! The walls are all painted a darker blue with a bunch of pictures of Disney movie characters. It has a toy box too, filled with all sort’s of cool looking toys. I think I will like my life here! I really think so!
{nobody’s POV really}
Liz did feel comfortable until everyone turned their lights off. Then he began to feel unsettled. He felt that someone was watching him, and couldn’t ignore the uneasiness that came with it. He finally fell asleep, crying just a bit as he remembered things he thought have been locked away.
No one else yet realized what was following the boy.
