Logan Lerman as Christopher-Eli Davies
Chris' POV
"Oh God, Chris!!"
My eyes fluttered open slightly, only to be blinded by the wicked lights before me. My body felt numb as I was being rushed somewhere. I looked behind me to see someone in scrubs, sprinting and yelling something to someone opposite them, but I couldn't make out what they were saying.
My ears rung as I squeezed my eyes shut, feeling a deadly headache coming on. That's when I realized what was happening, where I was.
"No, wait! Chris!!" I could just faintly hear someone yelling at me, but I was so close to losing consciousness.
I tried to reply, but all I could manage was a slight grunt, before I fell into the darkness.
--6 years later, present time--
"Chris, honey, it's time to go to school." My mum said as she walked into my room.
I looked away from the forrest beyond my window, escaping my thoughts before turning to my mother who was stood at the door. She was holding a tray in both hands, a gentle smile present on her face. I stood up slowly, stretching my aching muscles as I walked towards her.
I sat down on my king sized bed, taking the tray from her hands as I looked at it's contents. In the middle of he silver tray was a bowl of muesli and a cup of apple juice. Beside the cup were two small tablets.
I placed he tray beside me on my bed and picked up the tablets along with the apple juice, placed the tablets in my mouth and swallowed them down with a gulp of my juice. That's when I noticed my mums stare.
As soon as I looked up at her, her eyes widened slightly, as though she hadn't realized that she'd been staring. Then she looked down at her black heals with a sad smile. I continued to look up at her with a blank expression. She stared back into my empty, droopy eyes.
She sighed before bending down and kissed my hollow cheek, stroking my hair gently. When she stood up straight, she looked down at me with a loving expression. "I'll be waiting for you in the dining room, honey."
I nodded slightly as she turned her back to me, leaving the room and closing the door. I looked down and picked up the bowl that sat on the tray before standing up. I scooped some oats and fruit onto my spoon and placed it in my mouth as I strolled towards my dresser.
I quickly took another scoop before holding the bowl in one hand and opened the drawer with the other. Randomly pulling out a pair of high waisted, grey jeans and a black vest. I threw them on the bed and continued to walk around as I quickly finished my cereal.
I pulled off my boxers and replaced them with a grey pair of Calvin Klein briefs before pulling my jeans on over the top. Several hops and squats and I had finally managed to button up my jeans. I pulled vest my over my head and headed to the drawer again to take out a shoulder-less cropped top to go over the vest. It was black and white stripped, long sleeved and came up to a couple inches above my jeans waistline.
After pulling on some socks, I threw last nights boxers into the laundry basket beside my dresser and finished the rest of my juice before heading to the bathroom. I peed before washing my hands and face and brushing my teeth. Once I'd done all that, I brushed my soft chocolate hair and headed downstairs.
My stepfather was sat in the lounge on the large leather sofas, watching the morning news. He looked over at me and smiled. I gave him a small smile back and continued into the dining room. I slipped into my new pair of black converse that sat by the front door.
