Chapter 20 Part 1

Lilac's P.O.V ~Next Day~

I got up and noticed I slept near the river, which is the biggest risk I've ever taken. I massaged my neck and noticed there was a fight going on, it was between Mat and the girl from district 7. Mat threw a spear and she dodged it, she threw an axe at him, and it swept past him, it was probably her only weapon, because she ran away. Mat got a chance, and threw another spear, which hit her on her back, and it looked like it went through her. She fell to the ground, blood spilling everywhere. He went towards her body and said, "Im sorry...." Which meant he was either allies with her, or he felt bad for her. I guess you can say he's a douchebag.(<--- Like I've never heard THAT before *note the sarcasm*)

I shrugged it all off and began limping away. Then, I saw something falling in front of me. I looked closer and noticed a basket with bandages and fresh meat with water with a note attached to it. 'I hope this comes in handy, I heard you were a tamer, and since you are alone, i have a little present. Be careful with her, you either die or get her. By the way, she's a cranky one. ~Astrea' "Huh?" I said re-reading the note, noticing I was being filmed. Well that isn't good. What did Astrea mean when she said she was a cranky one? Suddenly, I heard a growl behind me. I turned around and noticed it came from those bushes. "W-who's there?" I said paranoid and being stupid and not taking a weapon out. Then, a large creature lunged out at me....it was a tiger.
