LOVE. That's what people want in life. Someone to spend time with, someone to kiss you everyday, someone who loves you.
Like every typical girl, Spencer Hastings wanted the same for her. She was a girl who spent her weekends studying, alone. But when the new neighbour,Toby Cavanaugh, moved to town, she was amazed by him instantly.
Monday morning, first day of school, Spencer woke up, stopped by Starbucks to drink some coffee and went to school. As she walked in, people were talking about how they had a wonderful summer and blablabla. When she turned her head, Toby was staring at her. They smiled to each other,the bell rang and Spencer kept walking on her way to English class.
A few minutes later, someone knocked on the classroom door and Mr. Fitz let them in. Mr. Hackett introduced the new student -- guess who. Toby Cavanaugh. Spencer gazed at him and he sat right next to her.
- Hey. I'm Toby Cavanaugh. - he said
-- Hi! It's a pleasure to meet you. - Spencer said really nervous
After school, Spencer was eating green salad and drinking tea. Her parents were in London to visit Melissa. She got an internship there and their parents couldn't even think about the fact that Spencer won a writing contest. The Hastings were just like that. Spencer and Melissa competed about everything -- even for boys.
She put her green coat on and went for a walk in the woods. She just needed to take a deep breath and try to forget about what's going on lately.
But Spencer wasn't in the woods alone. She heard steps and they were getting louder and louder.
--- Helloooo? - She was hoping it'd be just a rabbit.
It was just Toby.
---- God, you scared me! - Spencer got relieved when she realized it was him. In some way, she felt safer when he was around. -- What are you doing here, in the woods?
---- I just needed some air. Things are a little tense between me and my sister. - he murmured. --- Relax. Nothing to worry about.
They walked together to Spencer's house and talked about each other.
---- I'd better get going - said Toby when he left Spencer home. -- See you at school!
---- It was fun talking to you. - she said - We should do this again.
Toby didn't answer, they just stood there , waiting.
---- Sorry if I'm taking things so fast I just-- Toby grabbed her arm and said; 'shh' and then he kissed her.
---- Goodnight, Spencer.
Oh.my.god. Spencer thought. Did he just..... kiss her? It was weird, but somehow, she kind of liked it. She didn't sleep all night just wondering what did she feel.
But we all know what she felt. She fell in love.
