Destined to Be
In the beginning, the vampyre dimension was all together chaotic and unruly. The whole entire population of vampyres rebelled against the kingdom in addition to and most importantly against one another. Lack of respect was evident on their faces as they ripped each other limb from limb. This rebellion led to a civil war which resulted in many of our own lost and thousands of human lives as well. When our world went so did the mortals. It was quite a sight to behold in regards to the fighting. We all spilled much blood that would continue to stain the land for several years to come. These were the days where human kind knew of the existence of our species. Even though back then there was much ignorance that included the knowledge of mathematics, biology, disease, cleanliness, and so on it did not stop them from trying to help us expel the so called evil that was trapped inside of us. No matter, the coexistence was a brutal failure. That is very obvious. It truly was plague like, it swept across the nation. Perhaps it could even have been considered a natural disaster if that's what it actually was. I wish that's what it was, this was something different all together. At this point the royal family had enough of the bloodshed. Draven, the vampire king at this time, who is also known as Draven the Conqueror in our vampyre history books decided he would join the battle. Before nightfall his second in command had ripped him to shreds and burned him. Legend says while this fire was burning his wife Isabel watched with crimson tears running down her face before she too ultimately met her demise. Together the king and queen had four sons, who after hearing just how horrific the fighting had become decided to compromise. Since they too had been fighting, however just not as drastic and not as long as this war, for the crown it was decided that the land would separate into four segments where each could reign. Thus emerged the four kingdoms. Each son received exactly what they so desired which lead to what we call "El Trato" or "The Agreement" in English. El Trato was to ensure that the compromise stays permanent and because of that the four kings of the vampyre realm erased the memories of their existence from the human world and began to pick up the broken pieces of their land. That is the reason why mortals have legends or folktales about us that have been passed down. Most stories of course are untrue. Sparkling in the sunlight? That rumor from a popular novel is completely ridiculous. There are very little things that can harm us, we cannot easily be killed. Our kind is fierce, monstrous, and most of all blood thirsty. This story however, is only the beginning. There is still much to learn.
