Imo breathed in deeply, trying to keep her nervousness at bay. "Gurl! This is your big day! No need to be nervous Pet," chirped H. "Shut up Mudblood. I'm not nervous," snapped Imo. "She is SO nervous," chimed Keke. Imo sighed and smoothed out her dress for the third time. "I just can't believe we're actually getting married. After everything we've been through... who would've thought me and Light would end up getting married," said Imo, clutching the bunch of roses in her hands. "Uh, pretty much everyone? Come on. It's time to walk down that aisle," said Lawli, gently pulling Imo to the door. The double doors opened and the music started. "That's our cue. See ya at the altar," winked H. The three bridesmaids went off, throwing rose petals down along the way. The music changed to a wedding march and L came up to Imo, holding out his elbow. "Ready?" he asked, Imo breathed in and nodded. "Ready".

The 6 friends were just laughing and talking in the park when they noticed another group of friends quietly playing a solemn game of cards. Baz squinted at them. "Hey isn't that...?" she started. "Light-kun," finished Lucifer. "OMG that traitor," said Marzi, staring daggers at Light's back. "He ditched us for that boring lot? That unbelievable cockroach," asked Imo incredulously. However, there was no questioning that although her words dripped with anger, there was only hurt in her eyes...

Baz stood on the stage watching Light fidget. "Nervous Lightbulb?" she inquired. "No, of course not..." said Light, still fidgeting with his cuffs. "No need to be so nervous Light. You're finally marrying the girl of your dreams," said WL, Light's best man, nudging him. Marzi looked towards the double doors. "I can't believe our baby Imo is actually getting married," she said, her eyes twinkling in pride and joy. Baz leaned in closer to Light, whispering in his ear. "Break her heart and I'll break your face." This obviously made Light even more nervous but they both looked up when the music changed and the doors opened...

The rain was pouring down heavily. The sky reflected the mood of the atmosphere.

Imo stood there soaked to the bone, her hair and clothes dripping. She hugged herself in the rain, shaking from the cold. And anger. "You're nothing but a traitor! You betrayed us for some stupid, boring group of friends!" she screamed at the boy standing in front of her. His hood was casting a shadow on his face and she couldn't make out his expression. "WHY WOULD YOU DITCH US? Why did you ditch ME?" she finished with a sob. Light finally looked up, completely stunned to silence.

L nudged Imo slightly. "You look a little dreamy," he said nonchalantly. "I was just thinking..." Imo answered. "Of cake?" L asked. "No L, not cake," huffed Imo but even L's denseness couldn't ruin her happiness or dim her smile.

H, Keke and Lawli cooed at Imo. "She looks so happy," sighed Keke. "I've never seen her smile so much before," said H smiling. "Happier than a potato," joked Lawli.

Light inhaled sharply. Baz looked over at him. Marzi shook her head at him. WL nudged him, again. But Light was completely unaware of his surroundings. All he saw was the beautiful girl walking towards him. She looked radiant in a simple golden gown, blushing and smiling, her smile both nervous and joyful. Light felt a smile tugging at his lips. This was the day.

*flashback*

"Truth or Dare?" asked WL, looking at light. They were all sitting in a circle on the floor, playing a fun and friendly game of Truth or Dare. "Candor or Audacious Undertaking," whispered Baz. "Can you stop saying that EVERYTIME someone asks Truth or Dare?" said Imo annoyed. Baz pretended to think about it. "Nope". Everyone just rolled their eyes at their constant bickering. "Dare," states Light after pondering for a while. WL had an evil glint in his eyes. "Well mate, I dare you to go inside that closet". He paused briefly for effect. "With Imo," he said. "Oooo, seven minutes in heaven," sang Baz, grinning. Marzi and Keke started laughing at Imo's bright red face.

The couple looked into each other's eyes. As they stood side by side at the altar. Baz cleared her throat. "PEOPLE! We have gathered here today, to witness the joining in hearts and soul of Imo Shadowlight and Light Yagami." This was the part everyone was waiting for. The vows. "Do you promise to love each other till death and even after that? During good times and bad times? During sickness and in health? During fun times and boring times? During sad and happy times?" "I do," said Light. "I do," repeats Imo. "Even if the other is old and ugly? Even if you run out of food and are starving on the streets? Even if Light becomes bald or Imo becomes enormously fat. Do you still promise to love each other?" questioned Baz. Light and Imo stared at her. "What? I was just checking," muttered Baz raising her eyebrows. "I do," said Light smiling widely at Imo. Imo laughed. "As do I". "You have passed the test! I now pronounce you man and wife! Lucifer, the rings please." Lucifer the ring bearer came up to the couple, holding a cushion which had two rings and an apple resting on it. "Do I have to force these on you two?" he asked, holding out the rings. "Not today," replied Light, taking the rings and slipping it on Imo's hand. Imo did the same to Light. "Now both of you take a bite from the apple," said Lucifer, indicating to the apple on the cushion. "What?" asked a confused Imo. "Since you both love apples so much, I decided to make it a part of the wedding ritual," said Baz, looking proud of her idea. "Okay..." said Light unsurely but he took a bite anyways. Imo munched happily on the apple.

The crowd cheered and clapped. Tears fell and smiles were shared. Flowers thrown and music played. But Light and Imo were oblivious in their own bubble of love. A love born from hate.
