Kaylie's P.O.V

Looking around my backyard for the last time before I left for the summer. Part of me felt super excited and happy to be free. Yet the other part of me felt nauseous and scared.

"Kaylie, dear hurry if you want to get there first," my maid, Beth said pointing to my driver, Hubert honking the horn.

"Yeah yeah okay sorry," I replied.

Walking through my house I looked around and said,

"Well, this won't be the last you see of me, but I'm hoping when I come back, I'm a new me."

Sighing I closed the front door behind me and walked into my car and looked behind at my house as we drove off.

My mom was so mad that I was leaving for the summer that she didn't even want to stay at the house to say goodbye. Hey, I'm not going to lie it did hurt me that she did that, but if you don't like it you can f-

My train of thought stopped as Hubert asked me to turn right or left on the next stop. I was so scared and anxious. There were going to be ten other people at the house that I'm staying in which is located in California. I'm just happy that it's a beach house, but also scared because I didn't know anyone. You'r probably wondering how I got in this situation of living in a house with complete strangers but long story short, Facebook had an ad that said you can live in a beach house for the summer, as long as you paid your part of the rent and there would be eleven of us staying there. At first I thought, no. Hell no. That's stupid. But after I started thinking of all the past summers, I thought, no, why the hell not. I wanted to see how I could have a Summer of fun without family. I wanted to get to know people, outside the family.

"So, what's the owner of the house like?" Hubert questioned.

"Oh well, we've been emailing and stuff and it's a guy who does real estate and he decided to get some extra cash over the summer," I said wit a smirk on my face " I'm just hoping he's a cutie"

Hubert chuckled "Well it would be nice of you to bring us home a nice gentleman that lives and cares for you since-"

I cut him off, "Don't you even waste our breath on that douche bags name, he never loved me and I never loved him, end of story."

It turned to silence for a while until I out my iPhone and shoved in my headphones.
