{Connie's Pov}

"Coordinates set. We are ready for liftoff." The Peridot said and she stuck her hand in the control panel. I sighed and took a look out of the giant hand ship that we're currently on, looking around at what will be my last sight of Homeworld until we return. The shimmering, Crystal buildings and the radiant lights, I'll miss this place.

"How's it going in there you pebble?" Jasper asked Lapis, who is locked in one of the neon yellow prison cells. Lapis remained quiet and ignored Jasper, angering her. It was like a baby throwing a tantrum over a broken toy. Sad to watch, really.

"Maybe you didn't hear me. I asked, HOW'S IT GOING-" before Jasper could finish yelling, Peridot took her hands out of the panel and used her floating fingers to grab at her hair in frustration. I've always admired the suits the Peridot's were forced to wear on Homeworld. They're fashionable and useful, the perfect mix.

"Ugh! Will you pipe down?!" She screamed and Jasper growled, stomping over to her. Uh oh, looks like the baby found a new toy to demolish.

"What did you say?" Jasper asked and Peridot gasped realizing what she had said and to who she had said it to. A Quartz Warrior. Albeit, a Beta Quartz, imperfect and impure, but still a Quartz.

"I-I said wr-write down?" Peridot stated unsurely and Jasper glared before chuckling. She slapped Peridot on the back and laughed.

"You're right, I should write down my insults for her and then I should go and taunt her. Thanks Peridot." Jasper said and she made her way to me.
She sat down next to me on the yellow hologram sofa and she held out her hand for me to shake.

"Jasper. Facet 35G40L, Cut 3XJ." Jasper said and I grasped her hand to shake. She smiled before looking over her shoulders at the Peridot and Lapis.

"Us Warriors have to stick together on this mission. We're surrounded by weaklings and one of them happens to be a known traitor." Jasper stated and I had to resist the urge to roll my eyes.

"We all have to stick together. We don't know what awaits us on Earth." I said and just then the ship surged forward, knocking Jasper and I out of our chairs. I heard a scream and I turned to see Lapis slammed into the neon yellow cell barrier. I cringed as she writhed in agony. Jasper and I held onto the hologram sofa so as not to slide across the floor.

"Peridot! What just happened? For gem's sake take control of this ship!" Jasper commanded and Peridot strained to pull it back into control.

"The Earth's gravity is what happened! This ship had to adjust! Our body projections may adjust automatically but this contraption most certainly doesn't!" Peridot stated in annoyance. Jasper slid across the floor and grabbed ahold of the manual steering wheel. She struggled to stand but when she did, she tugged on the wheel with all of her might, grunting as she did. The ship slowly started to even out before it was back on its normal leverage. Once the ship was completely back under control, Lapis immediately backed into the farthest corner of her cell, far away from the electric barrier.

"There. That should do it." Jasper said and Peridot glanced through the front window panel and screamed.

"Take cover!" Peridot shouted and I immediately grabbed the nearest object, a greenish yellow vein. I held onto that for dear life as I glanced in front to see what seemed to be four pink women zooming at us, it struck the ship with full force and we jerked around wildly. I screamed while holding on tightly to the vein and felt it budge slightly. Uh oh.

"A hand!" Jasper exclaimed and Peridot groaned.

"Yes, we are in an object retriever." Peridot said and Jasper growled.
