Later that night as Rena slept she dreamt only of that handsome stranger and how good it would have been if she had succumbed to every thought she was having about that man, until she was literally tossing and turning.
Her body became so exhausted that she finally fell in to a deep sleep at about 4:am.
Intermission
The following day Rena awoke, took a long shower, dressed, taking great care to every aspect of her outfit.
Rena arrived at work at 10pm and got herself busy and caught up with the work which was before her.
She was so immersed in her work that she didn't even hear the slight knock on her door until her secretary pushed open the door "Excuse me, Miss Logan, but I have a message for you"
"Okay come in" Rena replied.
The secretary walked in and placed the message on the table, Rena took the message up and began to read "Meet at belle restaurant, tonight 8pm, secret admirer"
Rena wondered to herself who could have sent this note and whether to go or not but as you know Rena just could not refuse a mystery.
Rena got home at around 6:30 pm and got busy doing her hair and other essential stuff, by 7:30 Rena was dressed in a black, low neck dress, a pair of black stilettos and a pair of diamond earrings, finally she was ready to leave.
It took Rena precisely 30mins to reach the restaurant, the maître d replied " welcome to the Belle can I have your name please?"
"Miss Logan, I am not sure if you are expecting me since I didn't make any reservation here"
The maître d replied "Ah, I know who you are, if u would kindly follow me"
Rena walked slowly behind the man until finally she was standing in a secluded section of the restaurant, the maître d pulled out a chair and told her to make herself comfortable, Mr. Demir would be with her shortly.
Rena was so caught up with the scenery that she didn't even hear Mr. Demir come in until she felt a light tap on her shoulder, when she turned all she saw was these beautiful green eyes just staring back at her "You were the one, my secret admirer?"
Alex took the chair opposite hers "Yes, I was the one who left you the message"
Suddenly the thoughts of the kiss they shared crossed her mind " I have to go" Rena replied.
She got up from the table, Alex grabbed her hand "please, don't go" the look in his eyes made Rena change her mind and she made to sit back down in the chair " what so you want from me?"
Alex looked at Rena and knew he had to tell her the truth " I want you"
Rena stared at Alex "You must be joking, I don't know you, I know we made out but don't let that fool you into thinking that I do that on a regular basis I am not a loose woman okay"
"I never said you were, I know ever since that kiss I have not been able to think about anything besides you and how good it would feel if we could be together"
Rena stared at Alex and wondered of this man was really sane "As I said to you before I don't know you and that kiss was a mistake so I just want you to forget it ever happened"
"I am sorry but that kiss has awakened me emotionally when once I was sleeping"
"Look u seem like a nice guy but I am just not ready to be in a relationship right now"
Rena got up to leave, Alex on the other hand rushed around the table and pulled her in his arms and kissed her, the kiss definitely took her by surprise but before she could comprehend what was happening her to it and she was definitely approving of the way she was feeling "we can't do this and u need to stop kissing me, when you do that I lose my ability to think clearly"
Alex looked at Rena and replied " I want you to be with me, of course I will respect that you don't want to be in a relationship right now so I think we should be friends first and then lovers after"
Rena knew Alex was not going to give up so easily so instead of fighting a losing battle she agreed to the terms "Alright, we can start off as friends, thank you for the dinner but I have to go I have an early start tomorrow at the office "
" Let me take u home"
"I am fine I don't need to be escorted "
"Is it because you don't want me to see where you live"
Rena sighed "alright fine, let's go".
