I finally get to relax after Adam, now the eighth guy, left after being with me for two days, a new record. Kim, one of the women that runs the organization, comes in with a pretty angry look on her face since she's been with me ever since I got here.
"Sapphire, you need to at least give them a chance, let loose a little, stop being so much of a bitch to them, ANYTHING." She says while pacing around my room. Her arms were flailing and everything. It was quite funny actually.
"I'm sorry Kim, I can't do that. Those guys are retards. Besides, if they're gonna be paired with me, they have to put up with all of me, not some fake nice girl." I say as I roll my eyes and stare up at the ceiling from my position on my bed.
She sighed and looked at her clipboard that held all of their information on me.
"You'll be getting another guy in a couple of days, his name is Asher, he's a year older than you, he goes to a different school than you though. So you probably won't know him. Don't fuck this one up okay?"
I roll my eyes and nod my head that I understood. She knows that if she cusses in front of me that I won't care. This new guy shouldn't be that hard, I mean, I've delt with plenty in the past, what makes him any different?

As I lay in bed listening to music at my normal volume, you know the volume you can't hear anyone through? Yeah, that kind. As I was laying there one of my favorite songs came on, The Death of a Bachelor by Panic! At The Disco, and so I started singing along. Don't judge, I have a low vocal range for a girl.Do I look lonely
I see the shadows on my face
People have told me I don't look the same
Maybe I've lost weight
I'm playing hooky, with the best of the best
I put my heart on my chest, so that you can see it too
I'm walking the long road, watching the sky fall
The lace on your dress, tingles my neck, how do I live?
The death of a bachelor
Oh
Letting the water fall
The death of a bachelor
Oh
Seems so fitting for
Happily ever after
How could I ask for more
A lifetime of laughter
At the expense of the death of a bachelorI was just about to sing the second verse when I saw a blonde headed boy about a couple inches taller than me, standing in the doorway of my room with a smirk on his face. So, doing what I do best, I hopped out of my bed and pinned him against the wall by his neck. By then, he looked surprised and a little bit scared, not knowing I could do something like that.
"Who the hell are you looking at" I growled.
And just a split second after that he turned us over to where the roles were reversed. I put on my best poker face and stared straight into his hazel eyes.
"Oh, I don't know, a gorgeous tough girl who can obviously sing and isn't afraid of anyone." He says, with that smirk of his on his face. After a couple of minutes he let go of me and we both sat on my bed while he put his stuff down.
"Not bad, I don't hate you."
"Not so bad yourself. I'm Asher by the way."
"I figured as much. I'm Sapphire."
We shook hands and started talking about ourselves and as soon as we know it, it's already night. I've never been this close with a guy here, but there's something different with Asher. A good kind of different.

That morning we both went downstairs to the breakfast table, laughing about my bed head and his unruly hair and sat down to eat. Luckily, today we were having my favorite, eggs, bacon, and pancakes. After we were done eating I went upstairs to get dressed into my usual black attire when Kim called me back down. I stepped into her office and gave her a look of confusion. I was doing what she told me to do and I was being nice to him, what could have possibly been so bad about that?
"What are you doing? Do you actually like Asher?" Kim asked, seeming shocked.
" Well, yeah. But not in that way, he's more of a friend to me than a boyfriend. I still want to hang out with him until something happens, like a fight or something between us." I say as she looks at the multiple computer screens with the different girls' rooms. They have cameras in the rooms so that they can monitor our behaviors with each other but you can request them to turn them off temporarily if you need to change or something.
"Okay, you can go back to your room now. Don't forget you have school tomorrow."
" Ugh, don't remind me." I say as I roll my eyes and head out of the door.
