Chapter 8: Meeting Him

I ran for days,weeks,maybe even months. I lost track of time a long time ago.I didn't care. All I could think about was how I was free. And how good it felt. No more worries and pain.

I was running when I heard the sound of water. I was a little thirsty so I ran towards the sound. I found myself by a beautiful waterfall. It had flowers and plants all around it. It was breath taking.

I went to lower my head to the water when I heard a twig snap. I didn't lift my head but I was alert. I knew I was not alone.

I sniffed the air... Werewolf. And a rogue to. I lifted my head and turned around, just in time to see it lunge. I dodged and the rogue landed straight in the water. It rushed out and shook it's fur out like a dog. I gave a wolfy laugh. The rogue growled.

The wolf lunged again and I dodged. This went on for awhile. Then I got bored and bit their leg. The wolf yelped in pain. I used that distraction to lunge for their neck and get a hold on it. I then started to bite on his jugular. The wolf started to thrash then started to stop as I put more pressure.

I then let go of their neck. I didn't want to murder this rogue. I didn't know anything about them. They could have a family waiting for them. I want to hope that this rogue was a good one.

The wolf then looked at me curiously. And then went in the back of a tree. And came out again. But this time they shifted. The rogue was sexy. I can tell you that. He had black hair,grey eyes and full lips. He was tan and had a eight pack. He was tall and muscular. Just my type. And he was looking at me curiously.

"Can you shift for me?" He asked. Oh his voice! It was so deep and smooth. Did that even make sense? Oh well. The point is his voice was sexy.

I went to a tree and shifted. I got one of my bags and pulled on underwear, a pair of shorts, and a random shirt. Then I walked back.

"Why didn't you kill me?"he asked. I looked at him weirdly.

"Why would I? I like to hope for the best in people. And you have a future for you. I don't want to carry the burden of knowing I took away someone's future. And someone's mate."I explained to him.

Then he laughed. A very loud laugh. I looked at him like he was crazy.

"I'm sorry." He said wiping tears from his eyes. He stuck his hand out to me.

"My names Trent" he announced proudly. I was still looking at him like he was a weirdo. He frowned and then dropped his hand.

You might be wondering why I'm acting like this. Well even though I didn't kill him didn't mean I was going to be his buddy. I hardly know him. And it's hard to trust people when I have my...past.

"Look I'm not trying to be your friend ok? So there's no need for introductions." I sighed. He frowned again at that.

"But... Won't you be lonely? You don't look like you have anybody with you." He said.

"I won't be lonely ok? Now don't you have any one you have to get back to?" I asked. Seriously I'm not comfortable with having a conversation this long. I'm not used to this.

"I don't have anyone to go to. And besides you interest me." He stated in a matter- of -fact tone. I face palmed. Grr stupid annoying sexy werewolf.

I sighed and started walking away. And guess what? Trent followed.

"So...Where are you going?"he asked.

"Anywhere really..."I answered truthfully. I didn't really have a place I wanted to go. I just wanted to go anywhere except for my old pack.

"Can I come with? Please! Pretty please!"he begged and used the puppy dog eyes. Grr...I couldn't say no to that face. I sighed.

"Do what ever you want"I mumbled. He fist pumped the air happily. Then he stopped at looked at me curiously.

"Hey I didn't get your name."he said. I glanced up at him.

"My name is Angel. And I'm seventeen if you were wondering."I replied.

"Now why is a seventeen year old running away? A better question is what are you running away from?"he said. I looked him in the eyes.

"I'm running away...from my past." I finally replied after awhile of staring. Then I walked ahead of him.

Ok! I got a new chapter out and I changed the title. I actually like this title better. I'm sorry if this chapter is crap. I'm in a rush and I want to give you guys a new chapter.
