New Hope

''Is There Any Hope?''

Ever since I was young I have learnt that the world is full of cruel people, people that hurt you and make you feel horrible about yourself, it even comes to a point where we just lose hope.More and more people lose hope everyday and that's why the world is in danger.

If we all lose hope, we will lose who we are. There is people out there who will change the world and become well known for doing something good. I want to help change the world but how? if I am slowly losing myself, someone broken can't possibly change the world, can they?  

Alice's POV

'Alice wake up its already 11 o'clock!' shouts my mother from downstairs 

I twist and turn in my bed while hearing my mother calling me.

'Yeah I'm up, chill' I shout back in a raspy voice.

I leave my warm comfy bed and stand up, my hair is a mess and I walk to my desk where I left my hair-brush.

I brush my hair, my eyes still bloodshot from crying so much last night. I try to relax but I cant get rid of the bad thoughts .

'I should text Max to see if he is okay' I say quietly.

I text Max asking how he isfeeling, he does not reply.

'That's weird Max always replies fast and he should be awake' I say to myself.

I decided to get changed while waiting for Max to reply.

'Its already 11:45' I say while I look at the clock.

I go downstairs to make myself some breakfast, but I'm not really hungry.

'Alice...why are your eyes all red? are you okay?!?' My mother says worriedly 

I forgot, my eyes are red from last night, she noticed, oh no...

'umm...yeah I'm fine! I just got some soap in my eyes while washing my face' I say hoping not to sound suspicious.

'mhm, I hope your not lying Alice but if you say your fine I will trust you' says my mother in a calm caring voice.

I make myself some toast while my mother washes the dishes.

'Hey mum!' I say to her in a cheerful voice while putting on a fake smile.

'Yes Alice?' my mother says in a sweet voice.

'Can I go to a friends house for a few hours? please' I say in a childish voice.

'That's new, but sure just be back by dinner okay?' my mother says while she continues to wash the rest of the dishes.

'Okay see you later mum! I say while opening the door to leave the house.

As I was leaving I got even more worried.

'Why hasn't Max replied yet?' I say to myself.

Max is someone who I care so much about and if something happened to him I would not be able to live 

I start running to Max's house.

I got to his house, I run up to the door and rang the door bell.

 A beautiful girl opens the door.

'Hello?' she says in a kind voice 

'Umm, is Max home?' I say trying to stay calm.

Who is she? I have never seen her before..

'Oh are you his friend?' she says in a more mature voice .

'Yes we are really close, can I see him like now?' I say trying to relax.

'Oh okay... Max! come down here please' she shouts but still sounds kind.

I see Max coming down the stairs.

'Alice? what are you doing here?' He says in a surprised voice.

His blue eyes shine like the stars, I cant stop looking at them.

'I got worried you did not reply to my texts, and who is she?' I say in a worried voice.

'She is my sisters friend don't worry' he says in a calm voice.

I suddenly feel calm again, without thinking I run up and hug him.

He kisses my forehead.

'Hey wanna go to the park?' he says in a cheerful voice.

'yes! I feel.. you know..' I say in a upset voice.

Max says goodbye to the girl and takes my hand.

'Alice? whats wrong?' he says in a worried voice.

'I-I cant handle this anymore' I say while tears roll down my face.

Max hugs me.

'Hey Alice, its okay, don't lose hope!' he says in a calm voice.

Me and Max are not dating but we still show that we love each other.

'Max...I am afraid' I say while trembling.

'Don't be, as long as your with me, your safe' he says trying to cheer me up.

'Max....' I say while the tears roll down my skin.

'Alice wanna stay at my house tonight?' he says in his normal voice 

'Yes please' I say while hugging Max

I call my mother and tell her I'm staying at a friends house tonight

Me and Max go and buy some hot coco and walk around the area.

'Hey Alice' he says smiling at me

'Yes Max? I say wondering what he is gonna say.

'I love you' he says while blushing.

I feel my face turn all red.

Max lifts me up and spins me around, then he puts me down and kisses me.

'Max, I love you too' I started crying tears of joy.

I felt so happy, but little did I know something bad was gonna happen.
