It all started that day in the coffee shop when I was down there early in the morning on a Saturday doing some research for an English essay on Shakespeare and how great of a poet he was when one on the workers fought my eye. I had seen him around school before but I never really said anything to him I was the girl that was in the not so popular sport known as the swim team, and he was the oh so popular star quarterback of our small home town. Don't get me wrong or anything our team is really good, actually best in the state and he is fine. Me and him used to be best friends, we actually live next door to each other but he hasn't talked to me since he joined that team. I've liked him ever since we was little but why would he go for some geeky swimmer like me right, when he has all of those blonde no brain cheerleaders.  He walks over to me and asks me if I need anything I just shake my head no and keep typing away, even though I was completely busy with my work he still pulls out a chair and attempts to talk to me. Why on earth would he be trying to talk to me after four year of complete silence. I save my writing and close my laptop and look at him with the look on my face of what do you want. He give me a sympathetic look back "I know that I was a complete butthole for not talking to you for four years and I don't know how I could ask for your forgiveness anymore. I am sorry about it I guess the popularity got to me, but I heard you got into Florida State as well as me, as since I know how much you hate meeting new people I wanted to know if you wanted to look into getting an apartment with me and being roommates because I really do not want to share a small space with someone I might not get along with." I stare at him with a confused look on my face how in the world did he find out that I got accepted there I haven't told anyone but my mother. I question him "how did you find out about that I haven't told anyone yet, and why should I stay in some place with you, you haven't cared about me for the last four years of our lives and you know how I felt about you and you did nothing about it. How would you even feel comfortable with sharing an apartment with someone that may or may not still have a crush on you." "Because Araya I like you to.. think about it okay and let me know you know where to find me." He walks away from me but not before sneaking a wink at me. I gather up my stuff and go to work at the community pool as a lifeguard, thinking about what he said and how I feel about it....there is only a month until graduation and two months until I live to head down up there to get comfortable and arrange everything in my new place which I have yet to find.
