I woke up to the sound of pans being clattered and the sun beaming through the window, I got up and looked in my mirror. I groaned at my reflection, sparking up a cigarette to take the pain away.
I finally settled on a messy bun and a thick juniper with navy blue ripped shorts and Doc Martens. I skipped downstairs to greet my dad, struggling with the pots and pans on the ratty old stove.
"You alright there dad?" I stifle a laugh.
"Yes, this bloody stove is playing up. I kind of made you a bacon sarnie?" He chuckled, placing burnt bacon in two slices of bread on the island. I took it and bit in, it was gross.
"Mmmmm, yummy." I lied, I couldn't say it was gross to dad, all he's done is tried since mom wasn't here. He just smiled. Then I got ready, grabbed my bad and left.
When I got to school, I spotted an anxious Cole, waiting for my arrival...
"Heeey." I said dragging out the 'e'.
"You're two minutes late." He said seriously.
"Take a chill pill, dude." I chuckled.
"Sorry, I just wanted you to be here for exactly then."
"Why?"
"Because I didn't want your coffee to get cold."
"So? It's just coffee."
"Also, I tweaked the board a little, and the sun makes it shine Phoebe on the floor." He moved from the place he was standing. I just stood, in awe.
"Oh, my... It's perfect." I looked up and smiled.
Cole opened up his hand for a hug. I didn't see and harm in doing so; so I hugged him, my nostrils, filling with his sweet, sweet, smell.
"You alright there?" He chuckles, pulling away, to look at my face, passing me my drink.
"Uh yeah." I giggle in embarrassment, feeling my face burn up. To say that I was 'saved by the bell' was an understatement... I shuffled away, almost running to my form.
