"No, Kuro, I didn't mean it like that....Kuro, come on....Fine. I'm sorry.....Yeah. I love you, too. BYe."
(Name) was once again arguing with her boyfriend, Kuro, the red-eyed Japanese who was a Senior while I was a Sophmore like her. We've known each other since 6th grade, while she's only known him for a year. HE didn't seem to understand her sense of humor because he constantly blew up at her for the simplest of jokes.
I sighed and toke out my earphones. I was listening to her favorite song, which he doesn't like and won't let her listen to. It seemed like every bit of her life was controlled by him.
"Kuro again?" I asked her as she hung up her phone.
"Yeah."
"What did he want?"
"I can't go to that anime thing with you...Sorry."
"It's okay." I'm not mad at you anyway. I'm mad at him.
You're on the phone with your boyfriend he's upset
He's going off about something that you've said
Cause he doesn't get your humor like I do
I'm in the room it's a typical Tuesday night
I'm listening to the kind of music he doesn't like
And he'll never know you'e story like I do
Kuro wasn't the type of guy that anyone would think she would date. He was easily angered, He hated almost everything and everyone, and He was also known for abuse. This made me always worry about her. Not only she is my best friend, but I've loved her for a long time. It pained me to see her in another relationship, especially when she seemed miserable.
She picks up her backpack and gave me a weak smile.
"See you tommorow, KIku." She told me and she was off.
"See you.." I whispered, worrying how much Kuro was affecting her.
He likes shorts skirts
I like Geek shirts
He's at the Sports Ground and I'm drawing anime
Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find that what you're looking for has been here the whole time
Can't you see that I'm the one who understands you?
Been here all along, so why cant you see
You belong with me
You belong with me
(Name) laughs while we stop to talk at a park bench. I just told her about the recent episode of an anime show we both like, one that Kuro won't let her watch. It's refreshing to her smile. Ever since she started to date Kuro I hadn't seen it for so long...
"(Name)-San...Are you okay?" I asked when I noticed her rubbing her arms like they hurt.
"I'm fine, KIku." She replies. "Don't worry."
I felt my eyebrows furrow, knowing that she was lying to me, but I said nothing in response.
She looks beautiful today. I wonder how many times Kuro tells her that. He doesn't seem to have much time for her at all and I doubt her hardly even thinks about her when he spends his night at the bar. She's wearing navy blue jeans, the knees being worn a bit. Her top is a white shirt with birds that have different colors on them. I think she should wear it more often, it looks really good on her.
