Farewell, Dear Max (Mithzan)

Imperfect

Max's P.O.V

I woke up on the couch at noon next to Raina. I looked at her sleeping peacefully in my arms.

"Raina," I said softly brushing her bangs of to the side, "we are imperfect. Nothing will change that you are just so bubbly and honestly, I am not as happy in life,But I want to do whatever I can to try and make you happy."

She smiled and sat up putting her elbow on my thigh and looked at me closely. "My secret to life is know that people have your back and that they love you."

I held her tighter hugging her as if there was no tomorrow, and maybe there wasn't I know for sure that soon enough there would be a time that I felt I should've hugged her longer when I had the chance, I started crying at first slowly then all at once.

"Max, there will be pain and sorrow in this life but I want you to see my face every time you are scared so I can remind you there's nothing to be afraid of...Max....Promise me..." She said looking at me seriously and in her eyes I saw fear. 

"Raina, what do you mean? Remember your face why can't I just.." She interupted me.

"Max, I feel like there's something bad about to happen, Please just trust me on this one." She said crying and trying to look brave.

I trusted her, and indeed that hard time came the day she got so hurt she had to go to a special hospital in New York. I couldn't see her she couldn't text or call all I had was daily updates from Adam, he went up to stay with her until she either "Checked" out or actually checked out.

Adam texted me at 1:00 a.m saying;

Max, She is doing fine she told me that you must remember... Don't know what that's supposed to mean but... she thinks shes dying. But the doctors say otherwise. She says That she loves you and wishes she was sitting right next you right now. Well good night talk to you in the morning.

I cried and cried and cried. I stayed up all night and in the morning Adam called me,

"Hey, Max," Adam said happily, "She's getting checked out today! We will be home around 6:00 okay? Do you want to speak to her?" 

"Yes!" I said practically exploding inside with happiness.

"Max!" Raina calls out sounding prettier than ever.

"Raina! I can't believe it!!!" I said happily.
