The Journey - The College Years [One Direction Fanfic]

"Oh, hi there. You must be Lindsay" I hear a voice interrupt my thoughts. A girl in a pair of dark jeans and a white blouse is standing in front of me. "Yes, I am" I say and reach out to greet her. "I am Spencer, we're roomies. Isn't that great?" she babbles but I can only concentrate on her american accent. "Are you from America?" I ask enquiring. She nods. "I hate my accent, though" she sighs and adds "I am trying to sound more british" to it in a thick british accent. Funny girl, thank god I'm not in a room with some weirdo. "So, what shall we do? It's our first night as collegians, let's get some drinks and have a nice time" Spencer suggests and I agree but want to invite Liam, too. "Can I invite a friend?" "Sure, the more people the better!" she says. 

A few minutes later we meet up with Liam in front of our building. "You didn't tell me your friend was male and freaking handsome" Spencer whispers and makes me laugh again. "Hey Liam" I say before hugging him. I make him acquainted to Spencer who asks him where to party the best on campus. "Well, there are no parties tonight but we could go to my room, I have some drinks there" he suggests. We follow him to his room and are greeted by his dog trying to jump on us. Liam tells us he's living alone because no one wants to have a dog in their room. "So, I have tequila, beer, vodka and some juices to mix with the alcohol" Liam tells us looking into the little fridge next to his bed. "Tequila! We need shots!" Spencer shouts laughing. God, this girl is crazy. But I kind of like her. After downing a few shots we decide to switch to beer to not get too wasted. "There aren't guys like you in America" Spencer prattles. "Guys like me?" Liam asks laughing. "Yeah, sexy and smart" Spencer states and giggles. I know who had a bit too much to drink. 

It's almost 4 in the morning when I decide to go back to my room. I'm sober by now and ask Spencer if she wants to come with me. "I actually want to stay with Liam" she whispers. "Uhm, you should both go. Classes tomorrow. Or should I say today" Liam reminds us and I take Spencer with me. When we get to our room I take off my clothes and put on a shirt of Harry I took with me before jumping into bed to get at least two hours of sleep.
