Forever and Always

Chapter 1

"I love you, Violet. I want to be with you. There's no other girl that can make me feel this way. When I'm with you, it feels like my stomach has been turned upside down. I don't know how to describe how much I love you, but I do love you with all my heart and soul. I see you in my future, I want you, Violet." as he whisper in my ears, Shawn brushes his fingers gently into my hair. Then he grabs my shoulder and turns me around to face him. Oh my god... his eyes. Those blue eyes are looking at me through those long curly eyelashes. Can you be more perfect? He closes his eyes and leans towards me. Is he going to kiss me? My first kiss.........

"VIOLET! WAKE UP SIS. IT'S YOUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!" ugh is that Rose? So I was dreaming.. Well that felt real. 

"Rose, get out!" I growled. She has to ruin everything. Everything with me and Shawn was going great in my dreams until she wakes me up for school. School? Wait, I'm not going back to middle school this year! That means..... that means I'm going to high school! I am seeing Shawn for the first time after one year. I haven't seen him since his 8th grade graduation. Well, I kinda see him around at the mall sometimes, but me being Violet, I'd run away from him every time I see him. I don't want him to see my ugly face. He will never like me anyways. 

"MOM! VIOLET IS YELLING AT ME! I'M JUST TRYING TO HELP HERE." Rose storms out of my room. She is my little sister. It's hard to tell people that we're sisters, she is too pretty for her age. Her hair is blonde and long, she's got deep blue eyes, and even though she's 3 years younger than me, she's as tall as I am. She's got a model figure, and I'm pretty sure every guy has a crush on her at school. If only I looked like mom, I would be as pretty as her too. Her school doesn't start until next week, that's why she's all very energetic and stuff. 

I get out of bed in excitement to see Shawn. Wow, he's going to be Sophomore. That's hard to believe. I still see him as that 8th grade cool guy I had a crush on. I need to look good today. I know I'm not gonna look popping like other girls at school today, but I'll dress up as much as I can to look decent. I walk toward my closet to find the "first day of school" outfit. I am never prepared about anything. I know my best friends Vanessa and Zoe told me to be prepared for today since like July, but I didn't listen to them, and I regret it now. I look out a normal gray t-shirt to match with my light blue jeans. Blue is my favorite color, just like Shawn's eyes. Now it's time to get ready, I walk to the bathroom and brush my teeth and wash my face and all the skin care routine, I might be ugly but everybody tells me I have a soft and clear skin. I put on my glasses, and change into the outfit I picked out and put on my converse and start to walk out of my room. 

"No matter how much you try to look good, you're still the ugly Violet." Rose says to me as I walk down the stairs. She has no respect what so ever to me. I just pretend like I don't care but I would really love to smash her head against the wall, I really do. 

"I'm so happy I look like mom. If I looked like dad, I would be ugly like you. I wouldn't be able to see and would have to wear glasses and braces to fix those uneven teeth" before she says anything I told her the exact thing she tells me every morning when I walk down the stairs. "I know you were gonna say it, so I say it in advance. I might be ugly but I'm still your bigger sister, I've lived three years more than you, I know things better than you do, little sis." Rose looks at me angrily and put her tongue out at me, that means she doesn't care. 

"So Violet, are you ready for your first day of school?" mom asks. 

"Sorta." I reply. "I'm scared to see Shawn." Oh yeah my mom and I are very close, she knows that I have a crush on him. 

"Aw honey, don't worry, be brave. If you see him around, say hi to him or something. He's a great guy." my mom is great friends with Shawn's mom, Mrs. Coles. She's one of the regular buyers at my mom's jewelry shop at the mall. She is a very sweet lady.

My heart is racing as I walk into the school. I see both new and old faces. 

"Violet!" I hear two girls calling me from the behind, I turn around. It's my best friends Vanessa and Zoe.

"What are you wearing? Ew." Zoe cringes. I don't know if she's being serious or joking around, that's a kind of girl she is. "Didn't we tell you to prepare in advance of time?" 

"Well what's wrong with my outfit?"

"Nothing, you look nice...." Vanessa quickly says before Zoe could say anything. 

"Anyways, I need to look for my locker. Have you guys found yours?" again, I didn't check my locker during the school orientation. I am such an idiot.

"We did. Violet, you need to start being organized. If you are being like that, Shawn will never like you." Zoe starts to complain. 

"My locker is B132, I think it should be in the hallway B." I start to walk away, ignoring Zoe. 

Vanessa follows me, and Zoe starts to walk from the behind. 

I get to my locker. Wow these lockers are so big compared to the ones in my middle school. I put in my combination, and it opens. It says "Welcome". 

"Welcome." I hear someone behind the locker door.

 I look at Vanessa and Zoe, they're frozen with their eyes wide open. I close my locker to see who it was. Suddenly my heart dropped, I can't breathe, everything in life is in slow-motion. 

It's Shawn. I repeat, it's Shawn Coles. I have never seen him this close to me. He smells like a peppermint. He's smiling at me... oh god.

"Hello?" 

Staring. 

"I'm Shawn, are you new here? I feel like I've seen you around." 

Staring. 

"Amm.. I guess I'll just leave you alone. See you locker neighbor." he walks away. He's wearing jeans and a gray shirt too. We're matching?!?

"OMG" Zoe squeals. "Did he say locker neighbor?" 

My eyes widen. NO WAY. THIS ISN'T HAPPENING. 

"Yes he sure did." Vanessa comments.
