A/N: if there's a bunch of grammar mistakes... Sorry. I had to type this entire chapter on my phone. I absolutely hate autocorrect

Thankfully lunch is after third period because I'm starved! I grab a slice of pizza and salad from line and head to my usual table of girls. "Hey Lori!" My friend greets. "Hey Ashlyn...Veronica." Ashlyn has been a close friend of mine since freshmen year but she recently became friends with Veronica. I have no problem with her; we just don't have anything in common which makes things awkward. Well, she's in my theatre class but she's usually with her bestie Summer.

Oddly enough, throughout English I couldn't stop thinking of what Marcel said, 'most people don't'. Wow, he must be very invisible because even I didn't notice him AND IM A SOCIAL BUTTERFLY! I feel sorry for him. If he didnt have any friends... I'd be honored to be one. I never mind meeting new people and making new friends and that should benefit him more than me. Plus, I have nothing to do after school... Ever! Well there's homework but let's be realistic, Lori. Doesn't. Like. Homework. I would have Ashlyn come over but doing girly-hangout-stuff isn't really my thing.

Dance class went by like a breeze. I think that's my niche. Now I have theatre and I'm making it my mission to actually speak to Marcel, that's the least I could do. I walk into class to be greeted by Mr. Leeroy ... What? He's been my substitute dance teacher a few times but now he's my new theatre teacher? Alright. We all take our seats and wait for our lesson.

"Hi guys!" He cheered. Oh gosh. "Sooo, there's no lesson today! I'm just gonna sit back and observe what you guys usually do. So go on!"Yes! An hour and ten minutes of no class! I immediately look around to try and find Marcel but he's nowhere in sight. Some kids pile on stage and do some improv while others just mill around and chat.

I look in every corner and supply closet in this stupid theatre but I can't seem to find him. I almost give up until I see this booth found all the way in the back of the seats, behind the last row. It has windows but I can't seem to see through them. I slowly open the door and see Marcel cheekily smiling at me. I roll m eyes and look around the booth; it's filled with a bunch of techy stuff. I look out the widow and realize its a transparent mirror. You can see out but not in. "If you saw me looking for you, why didn't you say anything?" He just shrugs his shoulders and continues working on a bunch of different gears.

"What I this place anyway?" "It's the light booth, but it works with much more things." "Like what?" I ask. I couldn't care less but I at least want to pretend like I care. I stand behind him as he's sitting in a chair in front of all the tech stuff. "We'll, there are lights of course an sound. You can plug in and iPod or there's built in sound effects. There's also..." He trails off as he looks out the window. I try and catch his attention but he just stares out on stage. I follow his line of vision to see that the only person on stage now is Summer. I smirk to myself when I realize what's going on.

"Oooohhh, Marcel has a crush on Summer" I sing and that instantly snaps him out of his trans. "W-what?" "I SAID you had a crush on Summer." "Oh y-yeah" he says, looking down to his lap to hide the blush on his face. "Why don't you go talk to her?" "She'd never talk to me" he stated quietly.

Awe.

"You'll never know unless you try."

And just like that... BAM! Lori Anderson had an idea.
