Marauders One Shots

1. Amortenia

"Well I can't smell a damn thing Evans!" 

Lily rolled her eyes and pushed James to the side, picking up her potions book and skipping to the page with 'AMORTENIA' labeled boldly at the top. Her eyes skimmed the page, checking all the steps. "Well I followed all the steps to the dot."

James let out a dry laugh. "If you say so."

Lily glared and tried comparing the colour of the potion in her textbook to the one in the pot, frowning slightly. "Potter you dimwit, the potion is perfect."

"Well obviously not!" James grabbed the book and went through the steps again, replaying what he and Lily did to the potion in his head once or twice. 

Lily scoffed and snatched it back. "Well then it must just be you."

"And what does that mean?"

"Well, perhaps, if you didn't use so much bloody conditioner this morning you might actually be able to smell something!" Lily slammed her hands down on the desk and a few tables over the sound of Sirius falling out of his desk was heard. 

"You're one to talk! With the amount of bloody rose perfume you're wearing I'm shocked I'm not having a asthma attack!"James took off his glasses, giving them a small rub as if to clean them before sliding them back on his face. 

"Oh please, I put on a suitable amount of perfume, unlike you! That bloody aftershave is gonna' be stinking up this place for the next few years!"

"And I smell you didn't go easy on the hair spray today huh?"

By now the two were red faced, almost as red as Lily's hair. The argument went on for a while, the two eventually running out of things to say. 

That was when Lily realised that she hadn't been wearing any perfume (in fact she had run out last week), and that she had woke up late and never got the chance to do her hair properly. And then James realised that he hadn't gotten to wash his hair as Sirius was hogging the bathroom, and Peter had used up all his aftershave the other day. 

That was also when the two realised that the potion was, indeed perfect. And that the whole class had been watching the two slowly loose their shit while grinning along. 

A small smile grew on Lily's face and James gained a grin.
