Background

"I can't do it." I yelled at my dad. As I fell once again as I was trying to skate.

"Come on my daughter." My father said picking me up and place me one my skates again. Starting off I was doing well. "Ok I'm going to let go."

"No" I yelled but he already let me go. I started to skate on my owe. "I'm doing it." I was just so happy.

Jump 6 years ahead

"Come Hawks we can win." My 'coach' said to us. The other team was winning and we were playing Cubs. And we need a goal to tie and 2 to win.

I skated over to my spot where one of the Cubs were. He had a number 23 and the name 'Matthews' was on the back. I moved to were he was closer to the wall than I was. He turn his head to look at me I gave him the 'you can try but you won't win look'. He turn his head back to look at the puck.

That was to quick. It went to quick all I saw was Cubs #23 on the ground, the black puck and I herd the sound of the puck hitting the metal bar and then sound of the buzzer. I had my head down not wanting to look at my coach. I could hear the crowd for the Cubs cheering. As I left I saw a saw one of the other Cubs helping Mathews up.

"That was terrible." The coach yelled as we changed out of our hockey gear. I was sitting there with my head in my hands. I was sick I had miss the shot. I put on my black sweat pants with my #98 on them and along with my blue running top with my Hawks jacket.

"Coralina, Next TIME DON'T MISS!" Coach yelled at me and I just nodded.

Adam came over to me after coach left. "Good job Coralina." I didn't say anything.  "Nice job taking down that number 23." I said quiet.  "I'm sorry that you miss." I finally nodded my head, as coach comes back in.

"Ok everyone , see you on Saturday for early morning practice. If your late your doing sprints the whole time. " Our coach said I was the first one out of there. I ran down the hall seeing The Cubs leaving and they looked happy. I ran past them get some weird looks. I found mom and she was talking to my aunt and uncle. My mom as been on a trip to Paris to visit on of my other cousins of was a fashion designer.

"Twin war may resume." I told my younger brother as I pushed him down as I heard some of the members of the Cabs laughed.

"Hello my little girl. " I heard my mom's voice. I smiled back at her in response.
