"How is everyone," Ellen asked rhetorically. "Today we are going to have some great guests for you. Our first guest is one of the stars of the new movie San Andreas 2: Ring of Fire. She is also a dog lover just like me. It's Alexandra Daddario!" The crowd cheered as the song, "Take Me to the Pilot" played over the system.
Alex came out with a beaming smile as she walked towards the white one seater couch. She had her dyed honey colored hair pulled back into a ponytail. She was wearing a cream cocktail dress with a cinched waist that allowed the bottom to ruffle. It also had a blue wave pattern at the hem and ends of the sleeves. To finish the outfit were a pair of baby blue pumps. "Hi," she said, waving at the audience as she sat down.
Once the crowd settled Ellen spoke to her guest. "Hi Alex. Welcome to the show. I can't believe we haven't had you on before."
Alex giggled. "Thank you. It's a pleasure to be here. I always watch you. Maybe not every day because they're recorded but I do."
Some of the crowd laughed. "Ah that's sweet. Now I know that you have a dog. His name is Levon right? Now where did that name come from?"
"Yes it is. Well he's named after the Elton John song. Elton John is probably my favorite singer. He was originally named Leon but Levon sounded better."
Ellen readjusted in her seat. "It does sound better. So you started out in soap operas correct?"
Alex nodded. "Mhmm. Yes I did. My first real acting role was in All My Children." The crowd cheered. Alex briefly looked over at smiled at them.
"So how did you get on the show? Like how did it happen?"
"Well I'm originally from New York. They were casting for new supporting characters and I got a part."
Ellen had her usual happy look on her face as she responded. "That's great. How old were you when you did this?"
"I was sixteen."
"Oh wow. Now besides San Andreas most people know you from True Detective?"
Alex giggled again. "They do. Although a lot of my early fans know me from Percy Jackson."
"That's right. You played the lead female in the two movies based on the book series."
"I was. Yeah I played Annabeth who was the daughter of Athena."
A little twinkle came to Ellen's eyes as she said the next thing. "Speaking of Percy Jackson, you recently revealed on Instagram that you are married to your former co-star from the movies, Logan Lerman." A photo appeared on the screen behind them. It showed two hands clasped together over a table. One hand showcased a wedding ring while the other, belonging to a man, had a band on the left ring finger. It was captioned: Happy one year anniversary @loganlerman. I love you more each and every day. We are infinite.
Alex had a large smile on her face at the mention of her marriage. "Yes I did."
Ellen seemed even more eager after that admission. "Yeah I heard just before your husband came on last week. I actually have a clip here of him after I asked him about it." A video started playing on the screen behind them.
Logan was sitting on the left in a white button up, dark blue blazer and matching dress pants with shiny black shoes on. His recently trimmed hair was brushed back with a few wisps of hair falling on his forehead.
"Logan is it true that you got married and celebrated your anniversary a couple days ago?" Ellen was leaning forward in her seat waiting for the man's reaction.
