*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
Lauren suddenly awakens to the bugging sound of her alarm clock.

"First day of school." she says sighing

Lauren Jauregui is a junior in highschool with not so many friends. Her and Dinah have been friends since birth. They grew up neighbors and clicked right away. They have been known around school for being the odd pair. Lauren is quiet and smart and Dinah is well, loud and dumb (guys ik dinah actually isnt dumb its just for the story). Even though everyone knew them for being that, they aren't ever so slightly popular. They don't really mind. Being popular isn't a big priority for the girls. They just want to get through high school and onto college.

As Lauren pulls into Dinah's driveway she shes the Polynesian girl struggle to get Regina off of her.

"Gina! I'm only gonna be gone for a day get off of me!" Dinah yelled

"But Dinahhhh! I want to play with you." Regina pouted

"Sorry Regina but I have school and I have to go. Bye." Dinah said quickly before running off and jumping into the passenger side in Lauren's car.

"That damn girl won't get off me." Dinah huffed

Lauren laughed and drove away from the medium house and off to school.

"So are you excited?" Lauren said, breaking the silence.

"Not really," Dinah said "I don't think anyone can be excited for the first day of school, even you."

Lauren giggles and says, "True, I'm not excited at all. And I heard theres a new girl and she's supposably super popular already."

"I wonder if she's pretty." Dinah sighed, "You need to brighten up your love life."

No one knew Lauren was gay besides Dinah. Her parents don't even know. Lauren has been afraid of the fact that she isn't attracted to boys like everyone else was. She really doesn't want to be judged and bullied anytime soon. She's already going through a lot right now.
Recently, Lauren's grandma passed away. It left Lauren heartbroken and hurt. Her and her grandma were very close. She always went to her grandma for advice and help, and her grandma always went to Lauren with the answers. Out of her whole family, Lauren and her grandma had the best relationship. They always used to hang out until the old women grew sick and old. Her grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer and died six months later. They never knew it was breast cancer at first. Lauren's grandma didn't want to see what disease she had. She just wanted to fight through her sickness. But it didn't work.

"I think I should focus on school." Lauren said firmly before parking the car in her usual parking spot. The girls hop out of the car and walk up to their assigned homerooms. Luckily they are both in the same homeroom so they go to the class and take their seats in the back of the room. There was nobody else in the room besides the teacher. That was until a young girl walked in the room. As soon as Lauren laid her eyes on the girl, her jaw dropped. She was drop dead gorgeous. She had long straight brown hair with dark chocolate brown eyes. She was slightly shorter than Lauren's height and had a small slim body. She had little to none makeup which made her even more beautiful. Lauren couldn't tear her eyes away from the girl walking to her desk in front of them. The girl took a seat right in front of Dinah and put her stuff on the desk and sat there looking down. She seemed nervous. Playing with her fingers on her lap and slowly turned around and locked eyes with Lauren.

"Hi" the small girl said shyly to Lauren and Dinah, "My name's Camila, Camila Cabello. I'm new here I just moved from Cuba."

My heart drops right as I hear her start to talk. Her voice is quiet and smooth, Lauren could listen to it forever.
