Chapter 1/Stoick's new life

This is Berk. Things haven't been the same since Darklite and I defended Berk from Viggo and his Dragon Army. We flew through the lands and I wanted to be alone from my parents. Darklite and I landed in an Isle and I took out my map, and I begin to draw the location. I asked Darklite, "What you think, Bud? What shall we name it?" "Uh, how about this?" He suggested and I laughed at the Night Fury as he sratches his leg. I said, "Ok, Itchy Leg, it is." As I continue drawing the new land, I hear a familiar roar coming in. It was Ashley, my girlfriend and her Deadly Nadder, Star. I greeted her, "Afternoon, Milady! Where have you been?"

I knew that Tobias and Darklite was searching for a new land, so I decided to find him. When I did, I petted Darklite as he came towards Star and me. He said, "Afternoon, Milady! Where you had been?" I said, "Hi. Oh, nothing really happens. Just winning Dragon Racing and such. The real Question is "Where have you been?" Stoick replies, "Avoiding my parents." I sat next to him and mock shock, "Oh, no. What happened now?" He pets my shoulder, "Oh, you are going to love this, Ash. The sun is shining, Terrible Terrors singing in the rooftops, I went down for breakfast, thinking everything is better, I get, "Son, we need to talk." He said, imitating Hiccup, I imitate him, "Not now, Dad. Darklite and I had a whole day of goofing off to get started!" He laughs, "Ok, I don't sound like that! Who is this character? And secondly, what's this thing you doing with my shoulders?" I mimick him, and he said, "That's an good impersonation. Anyway, Dad goes, "You changed so much during these past five years. I think you should-" I realized what Hiccup said and I finished, "To become Chief! Stoick, that's amazing!" I punched on his flight suit and he groans. "Ow! Ash, the calibration is highly sensitive." Darklilte and Star pushed us and we fell into the ground. I got up and Stoick said, as I helped him up, "So this is what I'm dealing with." I asked, "What you say to Hic?" He replies, "I didn't. When he turned around, I was gone." I said, "Well, I been Chief for five years, I can give you some pointers and since you will become Chief, I will ride Dark..." I gasp in realization that he wasn't sure. He said, "Ash, I been away from Berk for five years. I don't know how to be a Chief! I am not that type of Viking." I rolled my eyes at my boyfriend's reaction. "Tobias, C'mon. I mean Chief! What an honor. I would be excited." He sighs, "It's not me, Ash. Ruling, making Speeches for the village, that's Hiccup's duty, not mine. I know that I look like him, but I'm not sure I'm ready." I sat next to him, "Stoick, it doesn't matter. It does matter in here." pointing to his heart. "Maybe you don't see it yet." I kissed him on the cheek. "Maybe. But there's something out there." "Stoick...." I said, and he lifts my chin to see darkness coming from the woods. "What is that?" I thought as we climbed into our dragons and investigate.
