I look at my room and cringe a little. It's very...pink. I hate the color pink, it's way to girly. This will have to change. I have a full bed, curtains, and a small balcony. Definitely more luxurious than my old house. I feel a tear come to my eye and I quickly blink it away. I set my bags down and head back to the kitchen.
"Mallory, we need to talk about your schooling. There's the middle school connected to Felix's elementary school," Mrs. Asher says.
"Mrs. Asher, I've been homeschooled for as long as I can imagine. All I know of school is from movies, and by the looks of it, they suck," I respond.
"First, don't use that language. Second, real school will be good for you."
"Fine, fine. I'll try it. If there are cliques, I might just scream."
"Good, how about some salad?"
"Not a fan, do you have any steak?"
"Oh heavens no! We're vegetarians honey!"
Great, just great.
"Fine, do you have...pasta?"
"Now that we have!"
I eat my food quietly while Felix rambles on about different things to me. I can't help of thinking of my knew school. I only have a few weeks until it starts up again. I wonder what it'll be like.
