My Brothers Best Friend (Jack Johnson Fanfiction)

Chapter 18

Jack Johnson's POV

"Jack?" she questioned uneasily, as she opened the door. She looked even more beautiful than the last time I saw her. She was in her pajama shorts and top, her hair in a pony tail, she had just woken up.

"Mellisa..." I sighed pulling her into my embrace. She resisted at first but slowly her body melted into mine. She buried her face in my chest and I rested mine in the crook of her neck. 

"Mell..." I hear from behind. She slowly lets go of me looking over to Gilinsky standing a few feet behind me. She ran over to him and he grasped her in a tight hug. "I've missed you so much."

"I missed you guys too, so much" She walked back over to me, I pulled her in for another hug this time for a little longer. 

"You have no idea how much he's missed you, Mell" Jack (G) said smirking at us. she pulled away and looked me in the eye.

"But I do, Jack. 'Cause that's exactly how much I have missed him" she smiled, tears prickling the corners of her eyes. I pulled her in once more but this time not for a hug, but for a kiss. A magical kiss, soft and gentle, as if it were the first.  

As we pulled away she began softly crying again. 

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Jack" she sobbed "I would've told you, but I couldn't. Mum would not allow it. Eventually I just gave up trying" she rested her head against my chest, I kissed the top of her head softly.

"Shh it's okay, Mellisa. We understand. We didn't think you'd intentionally keep her from us, from me" I looked down at her. "Can I please meet her?"

"Of course you can" She smiled "come on in" She motioned her into her house. It was neatly decorated, cozy. Kids toys lay scattered on the living room floor. I smiled lightly at the thought of her playing with our daughter. She led us through to the kitchen telling us to sit at the table. 

"it's only 7:30, Lilly won't be up for another while. She takes after you in that sense, Jack" She smiled at me. 

"Lilly, such a beautiful name, Mell" I smiled, the nerves growing in my stomach.  

This kid, Lilly, my daughter has gone two years of her life not knowing who I am, or anything about me. She's not gonna know who I am. She's going to look at me like I'm some stranger. Which I guess to her I am. All these thoughts crossed my mind and Mell came and handed us a hot cup of tea. My hand slightly shaking as I took a sip. 

"Don't worry, Jack" Mell said placing her hand onto mind comfortingly "She's gonna love you" she smiled. I was just about to say something back when I heard a soft thudding coming from above.

"Here she comes" Mell smiled. I gulped, nervously. 

This small little girl came prancing in the room, wearing a pink night gown. Her blonde hair all messy and a small stuffed dog hung in her arms. She looked at me and looked at Jack, her eyes growing wide.

"Hey, princess" I smiled she blinked looking from me to Jack.

"Daddy?" She questioned quietly. I nodded in response. "Daddy!" she yelled running into my arms.

"That's right, princess, I'm your, daddy." I laughed hugging her tightly, her little head laying in the crook of my neck. Small tears rolled down my cheeks as I looked over to Mellisa who was full on bawling.

"I have a daddy!" She yelled excitedly. That just made me bawl more. " I wuv you, Daddy" she said still cuddling me. She then took her head out of my neck and looked up at Jack. Jack was looking down at his shoe thinking she didn't have a clue who he was. She then held out her arms to him. He looked up and smiled, gladly taking her.

"I wuv you too, uncle Jack" She giggled cuddling him. 

"I love you too, Lilly." He sighed happily " I love you too."

A/N Not gonna lie I really enjoyed writing this Chapter. I'm gonna apologize, you probably weren't expecting a update from me. I'm sorry I kind of fell out of writing for a while there but writing this chapter made me realize how much I actually enjoy it. So I hoped you enjoyed this chapter and I PROMISE you that the next will be up shortly, don't think it just ends there.
