"I look up at the sky with my hands in my sweater pockets. I ripped the grass from the ground and brought it up to my face. It was bright green, even lighter green at the bottom. I started playing with it, and ripping it up until there was grass all over my black sweater. I sat up and wiped it off, when I bent over to grab my books, they were gone. Instead, someones feet were there. Rainbow colored high-high tops. (The ones that go up to your knees.) I looked up to see a girl my age handing them to me. Her short blonde hair was up in pony tails, and her makeup made her have very big eyes. She looked like an anime character. Her white dress shirt with a blue bowtie was tucked into her light blue skirt, with frillies all over the end of it.
"Hi! My name's Emi! What's your's?!" Emi said. She sounded very animated.
"The name's Aleks... I get the whole anime look, but the hightops?" I say, pointing to them. "Really?"
"They were on sale." She says, with a big white smile.
This girl was nice, loud and cute. Me? The contrary.
I had a black hoodie, that covered my brown hair. My freckles almost out number my pimples. I have braces on both my rows of teeth, and regular jeans. Also, black shoes that make me an inch higher.
"Uhm... anyway...books?" I ask.
She hands them to me right away.
I start to walk home, but I hear her shoes hitting the sidewalk, nearing me.
"Uh... do you watch anime?" Emi asks.
"Sometimes." I say, truthfuly.
After a little bit of awkward silence, I ask her "You gave me an excuse for the hightops, what about the bowtie?"
Instead of answering, she pulls out her phone. I thought she was being rude, but then I heard a familiar british voice say "Bowties are cool." I smiled, remembering the episode of Doctor Who.
"A fan?" She asks.
I nod, feeling a tad more comfortable with this girl. In the midst of a convorsation, I see my house. I find a bench nearby and have a long coversation about Doctor Who, Soul Eater, Supernatural, Adventure Time, Sherlock, Hobbits, and Harry Potter.
It was like a whole fandom squeezed into two people.
She gave me her phone number and I gave her mine.
After about 2 hours later, I heard my mom calling me.
"GAH, my mom wants me. I gotta go! I say
"Bye Aleks!" She says, waving at me.
I know it's short, but, sorry! Comment if you want me to write more of it.
