The brown stain was now seeping into the white carpet making it take a yellow hue.
'Great fucking piss stain'
With every second, the stain seemed to get bigger and bigger, darker and darker.
"Miss. Willow, Miss. Willow!"
"Abby stop screaming I'm in front of you, indoor voice." I reprimanded the strawberry blonde little girl that was now turning beet red.
"Dylan told me that I'm stupid. Miss. Willow he was eating the glue you told him not to eat. And.. And you have to put him on time out. You told him not to eat it. He ate it Miss. Willow, HE ATE IT. MISS LEANA HE LICKED IT AND HE CALLED ME STUPID." With every word she said, her voice somehow got higher and squeakier. I fucking hate this internship, not like I'm getting paid to deal with these kids.
"OK ABBY. Stop screaming. Where's Dylan?- lets go show me where Dylan is"
The little girls face brightened up and with a puff of air she held her head high and dragged me behind the shoe closet in where Dylan was huddled up behind.
'Oh god what the fuck..is he seriously eating glue?'
"Told you Miss. Willow he was eating the glue."
Abby stood in front of Dylan with a smile of victory and a smug look in her eyes.
'What a snitch.'
"Dylan hand over the glue. Where are you getting them. This is the third bottle you've finished Dylan. Your stomach is going to stick together and you can never eat again. They'll have to cut open your stomach and pull open your stomach if you keep eating the glue.-"
"But Miss. Willow I didn't finish this bottle. I wa-"
"Dylan oh my god. Jesus Christ you are going to kill yourself if you keep eating it-" before I can finish my sentence little miss know-it-all decided to interrupt.
"OOOOOOOO MISS. WILLOOOOOW, you took the lord's name in vain. I'm telling my mother"
'This brat I'm gonna drag her by the hair and fling her against-' my violent thoughts immediately disordered when Hanna enters the room.
The snitching brat runs up to her in a flash.
"Mrs. Silverstine, Dylan was eating the glue and Miss. Willow was taking the God's name in vain."
I narrowed my eyes at Hanna almost telepathically trying to connect my murderous intentions.
Hanna must've immediately got it as she chuckled nervously pulling at the two kids to leave the room.
"Haha ok kids lets go. Your parents are looking for you. Dylan your parents are doing to be told about your habits and HEY- Abbey you too, it's not good to keep sticking your nose in everybody's business"
She reprimanded when Abby started snickering.
As their voices faded down the staircase all I can hear now is the ticking of the clock.
I looked out the window trying to find an answer as to why my life came to be like this. Running after toddlers and wiping their snot.
I quickly made my way over to the chair I had discarded by briefcase and sweater.
"Willow I thought you were gonna stay and help me clean up the mess" Hanna said as she stepped in, wiping her hands on her black slacks.
"I'll take cleaning duty tommorw. I really got to get going. I'll miss my bus and end up getting caught in the rain" I said quickly trying my best to remain calm after the end of the day.
I didn't give Hanna enough time to respond as I already had half sprinted out the small daycare.
Running towards the bus stop I squinted as I tried to read the numbers of the bus that was already leaving.
Shit that's my bus. No time to react, the bus sped past the yellow light and was on its way to the free way.
And at that very moment God decided to punish me for using his name in vain.
The rain started pouring down.
