I was just sitting in my king sized bed drawing I was glad my Dad was at work and Mum was home. Today I was able to avoid
My beatings from my drunken father. From experience I learned how to avoid them. It started after my twin's death. My father started to drink and mom also. Though some might say my father wasn't worthy of his family and I agreed but I loved him anyway. My mother loved my father and she was led down the wrong path because of him. I knew she loved me she just didn't know how to express it. I missed my twin we were close as we could be. My twins death devastated me the only thing I had left from her was a pendulum of a wolf and a blanket of wolves together like a family.

A tap on my window brought me out of my thoughts. My snowy owl Stardust was outside with a letter. I let her in untying the the letter. I immediately knew it was my acceptance letter into Hogwarts. I opened my letter

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore

Dear Ms. L/N,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all the necessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1. We await your owl no later than July 31.

Yes finally my letter has come I was ecstatic. Yay! About time I got out of this hell hole and had fun. Well i might as well tell Mum she will be happy to get me out of the house. I went downstairs to the lounge room and saw her reading a book.

"Mum?" she didnt look up. "Mum? I got my Hogwarts letter. And i was wondering when i could get my stuff from Diagon Alley tommorow?" I asked. "Sure why not but you will be taken by your father." I istantly became sadden. Oh well it's better than nothing. "Thanks." With that I walked away. My mum and I got along as long as dad wasnt there. I got into my bed and drifted of into a pain-induced sleep.

A/N- Hey so I know this was super boring and short. I'm not going to work super hard on the first year because it's the most boring so the next year and every other will be better. Sorry i will make the chapters longer and more interesting. I just started working with another wattpad user theallymeister on how to improve my story. If you are confused then ask me about it.
