Chapter Thirteen -- Fear and the Fog
Warning; the guardians learn how to swear in this chapter. Continue at your own discretion...even if you don't want too, it's not too bad. Continue anyways.
By the Time I arrived back at Toothiana's fortress, it was already dark, and I could only see by the light of the moon. The red color had begun to fade from the moon's surface, and the ground below my feet was bathed in a soft, almost rose pink light. When I found tooth, she was all alone, smiling brightly when she saw me. "You can fly again?" She asked, looking around for Jack.
I nodded, before asking, "Is manny back in the moon? And where is Pitch? I need to give him what's oncoming for him!"
Tooth smiled. "Manny is back in the moon, yes, trying to remove all the red," she informed me, " while pitch ran off like a scared dog; tail between his legs. And don't he back, he captured all my birds and almost destroyed everything we stood for. Do a friend a favor?"
I laughed, giving tooth a big hug. "Of course; no matter what I do, it can't kill him. He shouldn't be a problem for a couple years...a couple decades at least." I told her cheekily. "But who knows? I just might scare him off from attacking us guardians ever again."
Tooth gave me a tight, reassuring hug. "Stay safe, girl. Don't know what I'd do without my only girlfriend." She told me.
I nodded, hugging back. "I plan on sticking around a little longer now." I promised, releasing her from pour friendly embrace.
I heard Jack land on the ground behind us. "You ladies ready to kick some Pitch ass?" He asked mischievously.
Tooth giggled before let in out a loud, "Hell yeah!"
I punched my fist in the air. "Let's do it comrades!" I cheered, floating a little off the ground.
Jack pointed westward, towards Antarctica, "Then let’s follow him, track him down, and give him what he's inevitably going to get!" He yelled, and I responded with a cheery yell of, "An ass-whooping!"

I had managed to lose them when I found Pitch. What they didn’t understand is that I needed to do this myself.
Alone.
“Oi, little brother!” I called out, sending my fog to search the crevices of the ice he could hide in. “I need to speak to you!”
I sensed him to my right, thanks to my fog, and turned that way. I felt Etre jump onto my shoulders, and lay lazily down across them, balancing precariously on my back.
“What?” Pitch’s voice resonated from around me, which was easy to see as we were in an ice cave.
“Come out and face your doom before I drag you out.” I told him boredly.
I rubbed my hands together, trying to keep a little warmth in them. Even if I was alright with the cold, I still felt a little chilly in the Antarctic. “Then, by all means, drag me out if you can, Conscious.” He yelled.
I heard it, and I smiled. He was panicked. He feared me. Finally, a douse of his own medicine. I stepped forward, lifting my hands to where he hid. Fog and mist rushed to my will, wrapping around my brother’s torso and pulling him from the crevice as it solidified to my will. He was ripped from the crevice, black sand trailing after him.
“Look who’s here!” Etre mocked, licking her paw.
I smirked, dropping Pitch unceremoniously down on the ground, and smiled. “I like games of chance. I’m always curious on what my outcome will be. So, shall we set the odds, my friend?”
Pitch stayed silent, glaring at me.
“Fine, how about this.” I started, pulling up a coin I had in my pocket. “One side it black, and one side is white. If it lands on black, I send you back to your cavern for 10 whole years. If it’s white, then you are locked away in your cavern for 50 whole years, and then you cannot attack any of the guardians for another 50, alright?”
Pitch smiled, knowing this curse. He knew the Pros and the Cons, and everything about this one curse. He knew he wouldn't be the only one to fall. I threw the coin in the air.

(Jack’s POV)
“I can’t believe we lost her!” I yelled in frustration.
Tooth fluttered beside me, sighing heavily. “I knew she was going to drop us and leave to find Pitch as soon as I saw that cloud! It was to the brim with her magic.”
“You could have told me!” I burst, flying further into the cloud.
Tooth tried to keep up with me, but my anger fueled my speed, and she had not chance in keeping up with me.
I found her, finally, and was surprised to see her throwing a coin up in the air. It landed back in her hands, and I hid quickly, noticing how serious and quiet it was in here.
“Ah, look at that. White.” She said sadistically. “See you in 50 years, brother.”
Suddenly, the wind picked up, and I was almost thrown up into the air. I noticed Pitch fly by me, out of the cave, and what looked like white chains around his torso, restricting his arms.
I stood up, and followed him a little before turning around.
“What did you do?” I asked curiously, walking towards Conscious.
She laughed, and smiled, looking up at the moon. “Sent Pitch to his own prison.” She stated simply. “Luck is on my side.” She added.
We walked along the snowy grounds, bathed in the white light of the moon. “Luck is on our side.” I corrected, and she have me a weird look.
“The guardian side.”
She nodded, and looked down. "I...um, Jack?"
"Yes?"
"I need to go and do something...alone, now. So, meet me at North's Workshop? I have a lot to tell you, mostly about Pitch." She spoke quickly.
I nodded, a little confused. "Alright. See you soon?"
She smiled, and nodded vigiorsly, before pecking my lips, and flying into the clouds of mist rolling by.
Author's Note
I hate this ending. I needed to write an ending for you guys, and this...it was worse, and then I added some things, so I might be up for a sequel. I really don't know.
Thank you for being wonderful fans, and I hope this isn't a huge disapointing ending. But then again, I might write a Sequel. In the next 5 years. If I feel like it...
