(Here is my new story, everyone! I hope you like it!)
I step out of the taxi and take a deep breath. Being all alone in a big city was a bit more frightening then I thought it was going to be. I hand the driver a handful of cash and he screeches away in the yellow taxi.I stare straight ahead at the huge complex that looked way to expensive for me, but I knew all the money i saved since I was 12 will last me a long while.
I walk slowly through the double doors. A huge chandelier hung low from the ceiling, and sleek, white furniture sat across from the receptionists desk. I glance at the employee. Her hair was up in a bun, and she wore no makeup. Her floral blouse was tucked into her purple pencil skirt with matching plum shoes. After examining her I look up and give her a fake smile and ask for my apartment number.
"um, Hi. I'm Nixie Black, and I was wondering what my apartment number is?"
she took a glimpse at me and looked back down to her computer. "oh, let me look it up."
"kay."
I look around, tapping my foot in impatience.
"Your room is 312."
"oh okay. Thanks."
She tosses me my keys, and i snatch them out of the air. I grab my skateboard and my luggage and head over to the elevator. I push the Up button and wait. I finally hear a ding, and the doors open. Taken aback, I see a man in a suit standing, holding the doors for me with the fakest smile I have ever seen. I step in with a blank face, ignoring him staring at me.
finally I said, "why the fuck do you keep staring at me?"
I glare at him while his eyes widen, most likely from me swearing.
"young lady I--"
The elevator Dings at Level 3, queing me to get off. I grab My luggage once again and step out. I quickly turn around and Flip him off, cackling at his reaction. I turn on my heels then follow the long hall untill I reach the apartment door with the numbers "312" on the door.
I put the key in the lock, twisting fast in antisipation. I push the door open and gasp. It's everything i've ever wanted. wood covers the floors, and a blue, yellow and green chevron pattern of wallpaper over the walls. The kitchen had its own room, with swinging doors into the living room. The living room had several book shelves, as well as hooks on the walls for my many skateboards. There was a Huge T.V and a leather couch. I pad over to the door that leads to the bedroom, and I gasp once again. There was a platform bed with blue bedding, and two black nightstands next to it. there was a walkin closet and another door to the bathroom, It was huge.
I think im going to settle in real well here.
