Lost in the Library

Carly had wanted to meet her friend Jennifer, at the movies. But Jennifer had to go to the Vermilion library. Carly thought that libraries were totally boring, but she decided to go and meet Jennifer anyway.

When Carly got to the library, she couldn't find Jennifer anywhere. Carly walked all around the library, but didn't see her.

Carly went down into the basement looking for her. It was dark down there, and it smelled like pirogues. Carly was nervous -- especially when she saw an elephant in the corner. She want to get back upstairs quickly, but the hallway door was locked.

Carly was scared, and she shouted very loudly. Finally someone came to the door. It was the librarian, Miss. Blenman, who said, "Please be quiet." Carly was so happy to see Miss. Blenman, but when Carly went upstairs, everyone in the library was looking at her.

Jennifer ran over to Carly and said, "What happened to you? You were making so much noise that everyone in here could hear you." Carly just laughed and said, "I was just looking for you."
