Alien colonisation began the year 2060

The year my father was murdered.

I Adria Summers have witnessed an alien invasion.

I walk through our very civilised city.

With my silver combat boots, silver blouse and my silver trousers.

City uniform.

We live in a alien colonised world where people have supernatural abilities. There are a few of us humans left. Because the aliens have killed us off trying to recreate their world: Neptune.

Walking through my school into the human section, I see the teachers getting ready for the Calling Ceremony this afternoon.

The Calling Ceremony is a special ritual in which the leader of the colony chooses two humans: a boy and a girl, to become one of their species. They train us to become one of them, and then depending on the circumstances: you fight as a soldier.

I go into my alienology class with my friends.

There are 10 human year 12's and I am one of them. We are all in the same classes.

The Neptrons are the bullies of the school: the cool and popular kids.

While we are the losers: the weak and nerds.

"Hi, Adria did you do your homework?" My best friend Millie yelled out to me.

"Oh shit I forgot, my step-father made me practice the Calling Ceremony a thousand times!" I replied.

"Ahh the Calling Ceremony." she sighed dreamily.

"I don't get it what is so good about it, Mills!" I said.

"Come on Adria you could be a sexy supernatural being with freaking superpowers! And you'll be popular." Millie told me.

"I doubt we will get chosen Mills." I said.

Alienology was normal as usual, but now we've got the Calling Ceremony.

I get dressed into the ceremony uniform: a silver dress with a white belt.

When I reached the grand hall Millie was waving for me.

"Adria quick, come over here it's about to begin." she yelled as I ran over.

As I ran over to Millie the ceremony was about to begin.

"Hello fellow humans today, as you know is the Calling Ceremony." Ms Shelby called through the microphone.

"I am now going to call the very lucky girl and boy!" She yelled

She stuck her hand into a big glass ball and picked a card.

"Ryan Winters." she yelled out.

A very tall and lean boy walked out of the crowd and made his way on stage.

"Hello Mr Winters, say hi to the crowd." Ms Shelby said

But in response he just grunted.

"Uhhh ok then, the girl is......." She said

She picked out a card again and opened it.

"Congratulations, Ms.........." She began.
