Jack's POV
Mark tensed up at Jack's question. He made eye contact with him and Jack shivered, his skin was basically grey and his eyes were black, all of it.
He stared at Jack for a moment before shaking his head. He covered his face and started breathing heavily.
Jack stared slightly scared but also a bit intrigued. He had a most likely unhealthy obsession with strange things, and people. And this was definitely strange.
Mark removed his hands from his face and looked back up at Jack with no emotion. Neither of them spoke, just stared.
"Just don't ask." Mark mumbled and grabbed Jack's arm and pulled him out of the library.
Mark was still fuming with anger. Jack could basically feel it radiating off him. Marks grip on Jack's forearm was a literal death grip and his arm was starting to go numb.
Jack stayed silent as Mark literally dragged him through the halls, at first he thought they were going back to their cell but they were going the other direction.
They reached the end of the hallway, Mark stopped and Jack crashed into the back of him.
Mark looked over his shoulder at Jack and raised an eyebrow, well at least he's calmed down a bit. Jack blushed and muttered a 'sorry.' Mark nodded and turned back to the door that was in front of them.
This hallway was deserted and had no cells, it also had a creepy vibe to it. There was no lights and was basically pitch black but Mark seemed to know what he was doing.
Mark turned the door knob and slowly pushed it, it let out a high pitched squeak and Jack winced. Mark only opened it half way and tugged Jack along with him as closed the door behind them. Enveloping them in pure darkness.
"I can see in the dark." Mark voice was right next to his ear. He nodded and let Mark guide him through the 'room' they were in. Even though he was kinda curious about how Mark could see in this pitch blackness. Jack couldn't even see his own hand in front of his face how could Mark see what was in here?
"There's stairs here so I'm gonna have to carry you." Jack groaned but nodded anyway. He did not like the thought of being carried but then again he also didn't like the thought of hitting his face off moat likely stone stairs.
Jack felt his feet leave the ground and an arm around his back and one under his legs. He gripped onto Marks jacket for dear life.
The stairs seemed to go on forever and Jack was wondering how Mark hadn't dropped him yet from carrying him for this long.
Every now and then Jack would hear Mark muttering to himself, too low for Jack to hear. It made him wonder if he had a voice as well.
'Ask him. We need to find out everything about him if this plan is going to work' Anti had been continuously bugging him about Mark. It was getting rather annoying.
"He told me not to ask so shut up" Jack mumbled slightly aggravated. Jack felt Mark tense up and his movements faltered a bit before he regained his posture again and kept walking up the steps.
After more snark remarks from Anti and Marks heavy breathing he finally stopped and helped Jack carefully stand up.
Marks hands left Jack and he was left standing in the darkness. He didn't dare move in fear of falling down the seemingly endless stone stairs, that wouldn't end to well.
'Aren't you curious as to why there's civilization around here?' Jack nodded in agreement, now that he thinks of it, why was there nobody here?
