As I walked to the library I looked down and counted the cracks in the sidewalk, occasionally looking up to make sure I wouldn't bump into anyone. When I arrived I went to my favorite nook, to find someone else there.

"Hello!" she greeted me, her voice to happy for that moment. "Hi." I answered. But because I was ridiculously awkward, I just stood there. "Oh I'm sorry, Were you sitting here?" she asked.

"oh um.."

"I'm so sorry I just didn't know that there was anyone sitting here." she said, her voice still dripping with sweetness. She left quickly and relocated to a spot across the room. I sat down, unsure of what to make of this encounter. Should I stand and go over and explain my awkwardness? Or should I leave it as it was? No harm done, right?

I decided to stay, as it was easier than going over to apologize. I studied for my upcoming french quiz, and I did all my homework.

As I started to head out a girl tripped and fell into my arms. As I caught her I noticed how she had golden flecks in her deep brown doe-like eyes, and how cute her face was as she looked up at me, obviously embarrassed.

As I helped her stand up she thanked me, her voice quiet, and shy, but beautiful nonetheless. I felt the blood creep up my face, why though? I had no clue. I brushed past her annoyed at myself for thinking these thoughts. I mean she's a girl!

I needed to run off the thoughts, so I ran the couple of blocks home. When I got home I threw my bag on my floor and collapsed onto my bed, and I instantly fell asleep.
