The moon dances on my skin, the cold night air sends shivers down my spine.

I love London, my family and I moved here from my old country town In south England. I was 5 when we moved into the Café. We have always loved the thought of the city.

The bright city lights are wide awake, blaring the path ahead of me. The cars roar down the roads, beeping at every little thing they found. The gleaming from the moon reflecting off the tall sky scrapers.

The smell of smoke and fresh spray paint. It fills me with wonder and determination.

The cold wind catches my hair leading me into changing it to a high pony tail. As I walk down the dark street searching for my mums Café, my phone buzzes on my leg forcing me to fish it out of my pocket.

The bright screen pops up showing a picture of one of my best friends, Niall.

His hair is scruffy and blond making the photo stand out, he is wearing a bright blue jumper and his arm is wrapped around my shoulder. He has his common cheeky grin planted on his pale face.

This was a photo taken from my 16th birthday which was almost 2 years ago. It felt like only yesterday him and I were chugging down the cake and dancing around the chairs. We look so young, a lot changes when you hit 18 I guess.

I answer the phone bringing it close to my ear and hearing a boy whimper on the other side. It was Niall, sounded like he was crying.

"Hello? Niall? Are you alright?" I wait for a reply but there was nothing, I think maybe his internet was slow so I direct my finger to the hang up button but just before I did I hear a soft voice speak.

"Please come over Taylor." His voice is cracking and broken. I hope he is okay.

"I'm on my way." I hang up the phone and run back to the parking lot getting into my red Mazda 2 hatch. My father had bought this car just before he went on his trip. It was a small quick car. "Just the car for getting around the city." He said to me before he left for his business trip to America.

It is a quick drive to Niall's apartment. Once I get inside I sprint up the stairs and knock on his door.

"Niall it's Taylor, let me in." I hear a sniffle and some shuffling then it went quiet and I hear a click.

He unlocks the door and opens it, revealing a blond boy with red puffy eyes and tissues stuffed up his nose.

He looks at me with weak eyes and my heart sinks for him.

I pull him into a hug, my head resting on his chest since he is slightly taller then me. His arms wrap around my small frame and his chin sinks into my hair.

"Come on babe." I say as I shut the door behind us and takes his hand to sit him on his couch.

"Are you hungry? It's pretty late." He isn't saying a word, I am worried about him but I see him nodding his head telling me he is hungry.

I walk over to the Tv and turn on his favourite show and plant a small kiss on his forehead. I then move to the kitchen and search his fridge for some rice and cooked chicken.

Luckily I find some and warm it up in the oven, after it is warm I take it out and add some sauce for flavour and I plate it up.
