chapter five
It's five minutes to sundown. Oh my gods of Atlantia.
Aquata must've seen the petrified look I had going on because she came to my side and said "I know you will miss your keeper. He seemed to love you very much" "He does, and I love him too" I stop, trying to hold back my tears and continue "He was the only friend I have ever had. Ever. All the Mèrrs in school used to call me 'golden girl'" Sirena approaches me and says "Well, you may have lost one, but you earned two. Hey maybe we can be called 'the Golden Girls: heroes of the pod'" I laughed and so did Aquata as she said that. She was holding a heroic pose until she burst out laughing. That's when I heard the knock on the door I had been dreading.
After they had sent us to our room, they had asked who we had wanted to summon to say our goodbyes. I, of course said Angel, but the Aquata and Sirena hadn't asked for anyone. This saddend me. They were so nice, but when I went to ask them why they didn't ask for anyone to summon they had told me that us three were a family now and that it was all they needed. They are so sweet, even Sirena which had a bit of trouble getting over her pride when she first met us.
As Sirena, knowing who it was, was urging me to open the door Aquata gave me a reassuring smile which surprisingly made me feel a bit braver. When I got to the door, I saw Angel. Tears were starting to well up in my eyes as he gave me a big hug. "I missed you so much" he said as he let me go "Now come on, lets get you home" As he said this, the tears started streaming from my eyes. Aquata and Sirena had left and I was alone with Angel, terrified of telling him the news. "I... can't " I whimpered as more tears fell down my face "No, not this again. Tesse Aura we are going!" More and more tears were falling down my face now, I was quietly sobbing as he pulled and urged for me to go. "I can't!" I shouted, mid sob "Why do you think the Council summoned you! It wasn't for you to pick me up, no Mèrr has ever had their test like this!" It was hard to shout at this point, my throat hurt from crying so much "Then what did they summon me for huh?! Tesse tell me the TRUTH " Angel was shouting now, making me cry more, if possible, and his own tears started to appear as he realized why he was here "you're saying goodbye" he whispered to himself. I gave him a small nod and he wrapped his arms around me. We were both crying our eyes out at this point.
We both hugged for what seemed like forever when I heard a loud alarm, informing that sundown was here. I didn't really explain to Angel why I was saying goodbye, but I did tell him we will see eachother again someday. I didn't lie, technically. I really hope I won't die on this journey that Sirena, Aquata and I are going to embark on, or that I will return soon so that hopefully Angel hasn't forgotten about me.
"It's time" I said to Angel "I love you A" "Love you too Tesse" said Angel before swimming sadly away from me. As he left, Sirena and Aquata had walked in with the entire Council. And by entire I mean like all of the Mèrrs that work in here cooks, clerks, the members, and even some of the teachers were here. Weird.
"Come on Tesse, you can do this" said Sirena, holding out her hand to me and Aquata. We both held one of her hands and started swimming right behind all of the staff.

Anyways, sorry for the wait I had a lot of tests that I had to take these past days and my mom got sick :( She had dengue (idk if that is the term in english. I am not from the US well technically I am it's just most of us speak spanish). It was really bad I had to cook, these past couple of days have been insane.
As always let me know of any grammar mistakes. I like to keep the story as grammatically correct as possible for international viewers (if I ever get that many)
