Hey readers! Now I have nothing to blame for my extended absence except my own laziness! So sorry for not writing, but I have been a little busy with writing the first chapters of Yu-Gi-Oh! Venirmo!! Wish me luck, because I am going to be writing two stories, Gold Ninja and Yu-Gi-Oh! Venirmo, which is no easy task! I hope you'll enjoy them both!

I awoke slowly, the light of the room I was in temporarily blinding me. I looked around, trying to remember what had happened, and why I was laying on a hospital bed surrounded by the ninja and Sensei Wu.

"W-What happened?" I asked, my voice clouded with tiredness.

"He can't remember" Jay whispered to Zane.

"That's alright. It's not anything serious." Zane replied.

"We can only hope" Jay whispered back.

"All I remember is coming face to face with what looked like a being of pure shadow." I explained. I knew that that the ninja would no understand, as that they'd probably think that i was crazy, but I had to find out what had happened. "

Well, we have reason to believe that you came face to face with the spirit of Lord Garmadon himself. The strange thing is, only YOU were able to see this spirit. However, this does not mean that it was not real." Sensei explained.

"But...how could I come in contact with the spirit of someone who is still living?!?" I asked, now thinking that the Sensei was losing his mind.

"Get comfortable." Jay said. "We're in for a long conversation!"

After a few hours of talking to the Sensei, my memories flooded back.

"I remember now! You brought me here to use me as a pawn in your plans against Garmadon! I was nothing to you! I was never supposed to be the gold ninja!" I snarled. All of the sudden, my head started to whirl, and I started feeling dizzy. Shadows flowed though my thoughts, and I was once again transported to that room of pure light, confronted yet again by the dark being. But this time, my thoughts were less focused, so much so that I could hear the voices of the ninja and Sensei Wu.

"Don't worry Kid! Just focus on pure thoughts! There must be some way to reverse this feeling!" Jay called to me.

"I'll try!" I replied, my head burning as though a fire was blazing through it. 'Focus!' I told myself. It didnt seem to be working. The shadow creature advanced towards me, raising his weapon at me like he did in our first battle. 'Focus! Think about Cole's cake!' I told myself, holding back a laugh. Suddenly, the well-lit room dissapeared, and the shadow creature seemingly disolved, leaving me back in the room with the ninja.

"Man, what a killer migraine! Thanks Jay!" I sighed, flopping backwards on the pillow, relieved that my run-in with the shadow creature was  quick and painless. Well.....maybe not painless.

"No problem." Jay said. "To be honest, I didn't really even know what I was doing! I was totally winging it!" Jay laughed. "You were REALLY angry. I was shocked that you could even find something positive in your memories!" Cole teased.

"That must be it!" Kai exclaimed.

"W-what must be it?" I asked, staring at him as tough he had sprouted a second head.

"I MEAN that anger is what caused all this! Remember when Sensei told you about all this for the first time?" He asked.

"Uhhh....yeah" I replied.

"We all heard your reaction, and it was exactly like your reaction just now!" Kai explained, as if he were making any sense.

"So?" I questioned. Kai rolled his eyes.

"SO, that means that the so called spirit of Garmadon you encountered may have been triggered by your anger toward the Sensei!" Kai said, finally getting his point across. I was shocked. Kai, making sense? That never happened!

"You're right!" I exclaimed.

"Then that clarifies it all." Sensei Wu muttered. The ninja and I were puzzled.

"It was not a coincedence that we ran into you that day, and took you in for training. Our mission was to find the one who was infused with the power of the dark lord." Sensei Explained.

"Y-you mean Voldemort?" I asked.

"No, not Voldemort!" Sensei chastised me.

"And your point is..?" I asked, anger still blazing in my heart over the sensei's trickery.

"My point is that YOU are that one. You are infused with the soul of Garmadon, meaning that YOU and ONLY YOU will be able to know what can truly defeat him. Not only will you possess the powers of light, but this also means that you can wield the dark." Sensei said. My anger started to fade as I listened to what he said. "So I really AM the gold ninja?" I asked him.

"Correct. This IS where you belong." Sensei smiled. And at that moment, I couldn't help but smile back.
