Chapter 1: Background

Chapter 1
Beep. Beep.
     Gabriella Star awoke in a terrible mood, a feat many achieve on a daily basis. Today was her first day of her junior year in high school, the first year she was able to drive to school. Her school started at 7:35am, and it was already 7:00am. Instead of being a responsible teenager(two words that are rarely put in the same sentence as each other), she chose to ignore it for another five minutes.
     Finally realizing that being late to the same school she's attended since kindergarten maybe wasn't such an amazing idea, she finally leaped out of bed to go eat breakfast. A normal person might wonder, "where are her parents and why aren't they concerned that she's going to be late?". The answer to that is they simply don't care.
     They constantly leave her at home by herself to go on glamorous trips all over the world, always leaving their hidden daughter at home, all by herself. Her parents, Gianna and Vincent Starr had enough money to hire a maid or even a nanny as they were internationally famous, however they deemed it unnecessary.
    Many would think having a naturally gorgeous supermodel of a mom and a rich executive of a father would lead to a beautiful child with a happy and content life, but their snobbishness turned them away from her once they considered her too "ugly" to be known as their daughter. Yes, they were completely ashamed.
