My name is Catherine Johnson I’m 17 years old I go to Midtown high in Queens, New York and I am Catwoman... Well I am not 'Selena Kyle' from the Batman movies. I am different, but my 'Hero Name' is Catwoman. Nobody knows my secret, not even my own family.

High School is hell for me. I'm not very outgoing but I know my science and math. I wear glasses and my clothes doesn't flatter or show off my body in any way. All in all i am a nerd.

The high school jock, Flash Thompson, is also the bully and of course I am a victim of his bullying.

I usually stay in the background of the school. That's how I avoid drawing to much attention to me. 

I have a problem, because Flash is friends with my crush Peter Parker.

Peter used to be bullied by Flash, just like me and the other "Nerds". One day he was different, it was like he overnight had learned how to fight and he was a lot stronger than before. He could actually stand up to Flash and his bullying, which he by the way did. I still remember the look on Flash's face when he couldn't get the basketball from Peter. That was the same day Peter's uncle was murdered. After that he always had bruises and wounds when he came to school. He must really have been mourning his uncle and I wanted so bad to comfort him, but we barely know each other, okay well he doesn't know that i exist.  Luckily Gwen Stacey was there to help him out. Gwen and Peter grew close and started going out together. 

Then the weirdest thing happened. Flash and Peter became not just friends but Best Friends. I don't know how Peter could forgive Flash just like that. After all the things Flash put him through.

Catherines P.O.V.

Today is the first day of school after Christmas and New Years Eve. I celebrated Christmas and New Years Eve with my parents and my younger siblings. 

I am sitting on the bus, looking out the window. Everything is a blur, because of the speed of the bus. I have placed my bag on the seat next to me, so no one can sit there. 

The popular students are sitting in the back of the bus, which puts me in the front.

It's crazy when we arrive at school ground. Everyone are catching up with their friends filling a lot of space while doing so. Me, I don't have that many friends. Let's say that I am kind of a loner. All i can do is go to my locker and get ready for class. 

I get my books out of the locker go to chemistry, which is my first lesson of the day and Peter is there as well.

A few minutes pass by and the bell goes off.

Everybody goes to their usual seats and partners, leaving me all alone in the back.

The teacher: Mr. Baxter enters the classroom with his brown bag and a cup of coffee.

"Morning class and welcome back to school. Today you are getting an assignment to work on in pairs".

Oh great, all alone again. Everyone has their regular partners and i'm alone...

"And I make the pairs" Says Mr. Baxter

Everyone except me sighs disappointedly.

Mr. Baxter starts making the pairs. He makes sure that there are none of the usual pairs. 

" Catherine, you're working with Peter".

My heart just stopped there for a second. How am I going to focus on the assignment when I am working on it with my crush?!

Peter is at the front desk in class, but he now stands up and walks over here towards me. 

Omg! Don't say something stupid or anything else to embarrass yourself!

"Hi you're Catherine right?" Peter asks smiling. 

I just nod, like a five- year old, to answer his question. 

"Is it okay if I sit here?" Peter looks at the seat next to me while speaking.

I repeat what did before and nod to answer him again. 

Omg. Just speak to him already!

I open my mouth but nothing comes out. Anyways it's not like I know what to say to him.

I look up at Peter just as he looks at me. Our eyes meet just for a few seconds, until he looks away. 

What am I doing? I don't have any chance he's already seeing Gwen Stacey.

Mr. Baxter explains the assignment and I try to not do anything stupid, while working on it.

I succeed and do nothing to embarrassing in front of Peter. We actually even have a some sort of normal conversation going on at one point before Mr. Baxter caught us and made us focus on the assignment.

Everyone hurries out of the classroom as soon as the bell goes off except me and... Peter?
