A little girl about seven to nine years old ran home on a breezy spring day. Her blue fluttering skirt was completes with a white flower blouse. As she ran, her black hair flows with the wind and her blue eyes gleaned in the sunlight.

The little girl's name is Hua Liang and she's eight years old. She had just finished the first term of school and she's excited to see her parents again. As a student, Hua Liang usually have to live in the dorm to finish her homework and practice her skills as a spirit master. Being separate from her parents for so long had been hard on her. Seeing the chance to meet her parents, how could she not be excited?

Today when Hua Liang arrives, the front lawn was extremely quiet. She slowly walk across the lawn, wanting to surprise her parents. One step at a time, she slowly advance towards the small cottage. Suddently, she step on something hard. Looking down, she realize it was a badge. She picks up the delicately designed badge cover in dried blood and she began to panic.

"Mother? Father?" Hua Liang exclaimed, waiting for an answer, while holding on to the badge. When nobody answers, she pushes open the door. The scene she saw froze her.

The walls were cover in blood . The white lace tablecloth on the table was redyed into into a red spotted cloth.

Her mother and father were in a pool of blood in the middle of the room. The blood is nearly dry which means they have been dead for a long time.

Hua Liang snaps out of her frozen state and ran towards her parents.

"Mother!!!! Father!!!!!! Wake up!!!" Hua Liang cried, not believing that they are dead despite the obvious scene in front of her. Her hand immediately went to their neck, checking for a pulse but their was none. "You can't leave Hua Liang alone!"

While shaking her mother, something drops from her mother's sleeves.

Gently, Hua Liang set her mother down and pick up the paper.

Inside the paper was an interspace ring and a letter written in her mother's handwriting. Even though it's sloppy, it is definitely her mother's handwriting.

Hua Liang-

Mother and Father have to leave first. I'm sorry Little Liang, your father and I didn't want things to happen this way but we have no choice. I wish I could see you grow up and and become a lovely young adult but I can't. Your father and I wish you would become strong because only the strong can be free. This interspace ring is yours so use them wisely. Please don't-

The letter is obviously not finished. Hua Liang cried while reading the letter.

"Clip-clop. Clip-clop!" Sound of horse hooves could be heard heading towards her direction.  Wiping her tears away, she slips the interspace ring on and stored the letter. She stores her clothing, the bloodied badge, her father's weapons, her mother's priced library of herbs and books and other necessities into the ring. Then she stored her parents bodies into the ring for burial and hastily left using the back door.

Hua Liang found a spot next to a big willow tree and buried her parent. This was the place where they used to go to for picnic. The tree provide shades, the birds and nature sing to them and the scene itself is just magnificent.

"Mother, Father, I swear I will find them! I will find those people who did this to you! I, Hua Liang, will become stronger and take revenge on those who did this to you!"

A dangerous killing intent can be felt from Hua Liang's small body for a second before disappearing again.

This can be understand. Hua Liang and her parents were very close. They are almost like best friends. As a gentle girl, Hua Liang never experience too much hardship. She was taught that the world is a place where humans have to help each other. She was taught that as long as you are nice to others,  they will be nice to you.

Lies!

Hua Liang understand that she had been naive to believe that everybody are nice in the inside. She had been nice to everybody in her life so why did the heavens punish her? Why did the heaven took her family away from her? Was this her retribution? If so, for what?

Anger, hatred and revenge fought for dominance as a storm brews in her heart.

Hua Liang stayed by her parents' grave for another hour before leaving.

In the span of a couple of hours, Hua Liang made a thorough transformation of herself. The girl who arrived this morning isn't the same girl who left.
