Emerald Reynolds pov-

The sun rays shinning through the window made it hard for me to fall back to sleep. I didn't just get woken up by the sun rays,but also my mother screaming at me to wake up.
Now you might wonder why my mother is yelling at me,well today is my birthday and I'm turning 18,the day I find my mate. My mother didn't like it when I was late so I just decided to not anger her anymore than I have to.
Trudging to my bathroom,I look at the full length mirror. I gasp, my dull green/blue eyes are now sparkling with joy and happiness. My auburn hair is now wavy,no longer tangled like a birds nest. My high cheekbones and cheeks have a light blush. My skin now vibrant and full of color,no longer thinking i look like a dead fish,I grab a pair of white low cut converse,undergarments, dark ripped skinny jeans and a flannel and head to the shower.

1 hour later***

I head downstairs when I smell a delicious, coconut and Apple smell.
I stop right in my tracks when I notice my mom standing near a tall muscular man. From what I can see,he has dark black hair that's low from the sides and high and wavy at the top.

My mother notices me comming from the stairs. When she turns around, so does the handsome man. I look up at him and get lost in his spectacular stormy gray eyes. He has a sharp jawline, soft plump lips and high cheekbones.

"Emerald I would like you to meet our neighbor, Taylor colen"

"Mine", Taylor says,his voice sending shivers down my spine, all of a sudden I'm slammed against the wall. I get lost in his stormy gray eyes,that I don't even notice his plush lips moving close to me. I don't heseitate. I crash my lips against his and he responds immediately. At first It was soft and gental, but when his tongue slid across my lower lip,things got a little bit hot.
A sudden cough made us pull apart from each other. I then realized my mother practically saw us snogging each other. My cheeks turn red from embarrassment.
"Ummm I guess you know who my mate is already,mother." I chuckle nervously.
