Combined Spirit Ring

Hua Liang is now nine years old. She finally reached the twentieth rank which means she needs another spirit ring.

A year had passed since her parents' death. In one year, Hua Liang grew and change a lot.

The carefree and gentle her is gone. In its place was a mask of pure coldness. Her friends and teachers couldn't understand her coldness at first but then rumors circulated the school which made them realize why Hua Liang had changed.

Hua Liang used to be chatty and spend times to help other improve their combat skills. Now, unless it's required, she never works with anybody. Instead, she focuses on her studies. The stronger she is, the faster she can take revenge. Revenge. That's all she thinks of right now.

She became the top student in her class and skip a grade.

Hua Liang had an unusual spirit. It was an unbudded flower still huddled together in a tight bundle. Her full innate spirit allowed her to attend school.

Hua Liang got her first spirit ring at the age of seven with her parents. They hunted a 540 years old Shadow Snow Snake.

Shadow Snow Snakes are strong predators with keen eyes. Its skin is very thick and covers in poisonous black thorns during spring and summer. In the autumn and winter season, its skin turns white for camouflage.

It took Hua Liang half an hour to absorb it and her first spirit ring changed her spirit! After absorbing it, Hua Liang's spirit was engulfed in a white light.

The 'bud' slowly unwrapped itself and a white flower bloomed. Her new spirit is a white flower which resembles the pure white blossom, which is an auxiliary healing spirit but her first spirit ring didn't give her an auxiliary spirit power.

Despite the differences, Hua Liang still called her spirit pure white blossom.

Her parents were happy that Hua Liang's spirit is special but their eyes aren't smiling. Thinking back, her parent's eyes were full of worry. They knew something but they didn't tell Hua Liang. Now, they'll never be able to tell her.

Her first spirit ring gave her an attack power. She can shoot vines with poisonous thorns. She also gains sharper eyes sights.

Delighted, Hua Liang and her parents had celebrated that day.

This time, Hua Liang's hunting spirit beasts alone.

After a week of research, she found the perfect spirit beast to hunt : a plant type spirit beast named the Dancing Ghost Silk.

It's a spider plant spirit beast that causes illusions. The silk web they make are poisonous as well as multicolored. The webs cause many people to see imaginary things.

It's perfect for a distraction and it can strengthen her spirit's poison.

Hua Liang traveled 10 miles alone to get to Crystal Forest. The Dancing Ghost Silk resides in the shadow near the edge of the forest so Hua Liang doesn't have to go near the center of the forest where the stronger spirit beast resides.

After arriving at Crystal Forest, Hua Liang first rested and ate. It was close to night when she arrives which is perfect for Hua Liang because the Dancing Ghost Silk are very active at night.

Walking into the forest can give any normal person the creeps but not Hua Liang. Her thirst for revenge had pushed her fears deep inside her.

Dancing Ghost Silk dwell in the shadow and are attracted to blood.

Hua Liang slashes her arm and blood trickle down her arm.

A Dancing Ghost Silk quickly took the bait.

*Swoosh*

*Crunch*

A black Dancing Ghost Silk swoops down from the tree it was hanging on. It's long tongue hissed out toward Hua Liang who had bandaged her arm already. The Dancing Ghost Silk's black slithering body was cover in thick scales that gleam in the moonlight. A pair of black scaled wing stretch from the back of the Dancing Ghost Silk and it spread to reach its maximum wing span to demonstrate the spirit animal's full wingspan.

Judging by the appearance, this Dancing Ghost Silk is about 700-1000 years old.

Hua Liang immediately bandages her wound so she doesn't attract more Dancing Ghost Silks.

The beast lung at Hua Liang but miss.

Hua Liang releases her first spirit ring, dancing vines. 

The vines miss the agile beast and wrap itself around the nearest tree.

The second attempt also misses and hit another tree.

This continues until the nearby trees are wrapped by Hua Liang's vines.

By now, the battlefield between Hua Liang and the Dancing Ghost Silk became a ball of yarns.

The beast struggles to free itself from the vines and Hua Liang release the poison from the vines attach to the beast.

The Dancing Ghost Silk could use its poison to fight Hua Liang's poison but it won't last that long. Hua Liang's first spirit ring's poison has a numbing effect and the longer you are poison, the more you will be numb and fell unconscious.

After an hour, the Dancing Ghost Silk stop moving and Hua Liang uses one of her father's dagger and kills the beast.

She sat there and absorb the ring.

Indigo flames enveloped her as she tries to absorb the yellow spirit ring. Her first spirit ring appeared and a phenomenal thing happen! Her first spirit ring began to fuse itself with the second spirit ring!

The two spirit rings shift and circle around each other quickly above Hua Liang's head. Both rings shuttered and then shift into one purple color spirit ring.

3 hours had passed before Hua Liang finish.

"What happened?" Hua Liang puzzled.

She had felt her first spirit ring fusing with her newly obtain spirit ring. The fused spirit ring is a different color. The two spirit ring changed into a purple ring.

Hua Liang's had gained a new ability and her first spirit ability didn't disappear. The two spirit ring's abilities had fused.

She gains the Dancing Ghost Silk's speed and stealth. Her poison also became stronger.

Her spirit ring shoots thin silks that are barely detectable and every time somebody touches it, they'll feel dizzy as long as their spirit rank is below 30. Being hit by multiple silks can cause them to see illusions control by Hua Liang. The strong stickiness of the silk can also trap people.

Her spirit also changed. One petal of the white flower turned into a purple petal.

At the same time, Hua Liang's interspace ring shine as a letter appear.
