Skylar's Pov

Jade, My Best Friend, decided to stay the night since tomorrow is our first day of Senior Year. Let me tell you guys a little about Jade Chamber. She's one of the Popular's in our school and I'm well .. Me. She has this perfect body that every girl would die for and all the guys would die to have. And again I'm me.. Now I know what you might be thinking how did we become best friends? My dad is head of Voltury.. Basically the leader of all Vampires, and her dad well he is just as much as a leader.. So we had to grow up together and became inseparable. Me and Jade are half human and half vampire, that's why we are so close, cause falling in love with a human is breaking the number one rule!! When you turn 17 you stop aging also that's when the first rule kicks in. I happen to turn 17 in two weeks..

"Skylar!" Jade yelled bringing me out of my thoughts. She was holding up a black crop with high wasted jeans. " Its cute." I said and I instantly regretted saying that. " Good because you're are wearing it tomorrow." "No!" I yelled. Keep in mind that I am really insecure and I don't like showing much of my body, unlike Jade she was gorgeous and looked amazing in everything. " Come on, it's Senior year, make a change this year." She always had a way of convincing me to do things, but I didn't mind she obviously knew what she was doing , I mean look at her. Perfection. " Fine! Now go to sleep." I threw my pillow at her and drifted off to sleep.

" WAKE UP, SKYLAR!" I heard Jade yell as she pushed me off the bed. "Was that really necessary Jade!" I yelled.

" I kept trying to wake you up, but you wouldn't so in my defense it was." she said. I got up and saw that she was ready, she was wearing a black crop top with a flannel and some high wasted ripped jeans. She had long loose curls and had her regular winged eyeliner. She looked gorgeous. I hurried to get ready and just straightened my hair and did my white eye shadow with winged eyeliner and threw my white converse on. She grabbed her keys and drove to school, we walked and like always everyone stared at her.. I was used to it. But she didn't notice because all she noticed was my brother Stephen. Stephen was also popular. Considering he was captain of the Football and Basketball team. And well like every other guy in school he fell in love with Jade. They've been together since sophomore year. He started walking towards her and kissed her cheek. " I got to get my schedule I'll catch y'all later." I walked to the office in disgust and I got my schedule. I turned the corner and bumped into someone, I apologized as my eyes met his .. Dark brown .. " Sorry." And with that I snapped out of my thoughts and he was gone.

I walked into my first class which happened to be Calculus and I had it with Jade and Stephen .. Time seemed to go by slow... When lunch came of course Jade was with Stephen and some other guy... I've never really seen him before , Stephen never brought his friends around .. but as I sat at the table I knew who he was .. "This is Sean Crawford." My brother said. "I'm Skylar." And gave him a smile .. and looked down. He moved away for a while but he has always been my brothers best friend. He had this jawline I can't even explain , and his smile was just perfect .. And his eyes .. I never liked brown until I saw his eyes... look at that another guy that won't notice me , oh and he's human . Just great .. Sean ... Crawford .. his name kept replaying in my head as I finally got home and dozed off to sleep ..
